The experience

We are seeking passionate and dedicated volunteer yoga and meditation teachers to join our vibrant community. As a volunteer, you will have the unique opportunity to share your expertise and guide our guests through their personal journeys of wellness and self-discovery.


What you offer

25 hours of help per week

Teaching Sports: Teaching or assisting the host, guests, or local communities in practicing sports or physical activities.


What you get

1 day off per week

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Free Hiking Tours: We’ll take you on excursions and hikes around town. For free!

Bikes at your disposal: You can use our bikes any time you want.

Yoga classes: Take free yoga classes at our place.

Holistic Therapies: You can take part in any of our therapeutic activities for free.

Basic Internet Access: Basic speed internet for you to work remotely

Program Details

Key Responsibilities:

IMPORTANT to note: You will be teaching 2-3 classes a week, at most, so your other hours will be filled with cooking, cleaning, and/or grounds work. It is essential that you are a team player and can work well in a group to jump in wherever needed to help the community run as smoothly and happily as possible :)

-Lead daily yoga and meditation sessions for guests of all levels, ensuring an inclusive and supportive environment.
-Create and deliver tailored classes that align with the holistic philosophy of Swami's Yoga Retreat, incorporating elements of mindfulness, breathwork, and relaxation.
-Foster a warm, welcoming atmosphere that encourages personal growth and community spirit.
-Assist with retreat activities, including workshops, events, and community gatherings, as needed.
-Collaborate with our team of experienced teachers and staff to maintain the retreat's high standards of teaching and care.
-And helping with kitchen and cleaning jobs when not teaching.


Activities & Shift

Requirements:

A minimum of 200-hour yoga teacher training certification.
Previous experience teaching yoga and/or meditation, with the ability to adapt to different levels and styles.
A deep understanding of and commitment to the principles of yoga, mindfulness, and holistic living.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A compassionate, positive attitude and a desire to contribute to a nurturing environment.


Rules

No meat, alcohol, or smoking are allowed on the retreat property.
