Roots & Harvest: Volunteer to Nurture, Grow, and Care in Uganda
The experience
Ready to roll up your sleeves and make a tangible difference? We're looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help with gardening, farming, animal care and kitchen support. You'll have the experience of working on our banana plantation, in the coffee garden, mulching, among other activities. Your efforts will directly benefit our community projects, from maintaining our gardens to helping with daily farm chores and animal welfare.
What you offer
20 hours of help per week
Kitchen Hand:
Help prepare, finish and serve meals.
Farming:
Plant crops, sow seeds and help in outside tasks.
Gardening:
Help grow plants and cultivate gardens
What you get
3 days off per week
Shared Dorm:
You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.
Breakfast:
You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.
Lunch:
You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.
Dinner:
You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.
Pick Up:
We will pick you up when you arrive, and take you to our property.
Basic Internet Access:
Basic speed internet for you to work remotely

Beginner English
Between 18 and 80 years old

Mama Africa Cultural village Initiative is private non profit making organization, dedicated to improving the lives of Vulnerable people especially children and youth in Uganda, around Kibale Forest national park through Education, Health and woman empowerment and daily life support.We use Cultural tourism activities as a driving tool to make a difference in our community.
Organisation is based in Kibale Forest National park ,just 10 mins from Kanyanchu visitor's center, Kibale National park headquarters for chimpanzee permits on fort Portal kamwenge road and is just one hour drive from Fort portal Tourism City and consists of
various projects.

Rules
As there are many children, the volunteer must not arrive home drunk or smoke in front of the children. Ask your host for help with anything you don't understand. A volunteer should not bond with a child.
