Good homemade food. Stay here if you want a relaxing experience. Our initial plan was to stay a week but we adjusted our plans to 4 days because the description did not = reality. A homestay experience, not a work exchange. In our entire stay, we did about 1.5 hours of work: washing dishes after meals and sweeping our dorm room once. Sammy did a few questionable things like giving us banh mi's with meat in them after promising they were vegetarian and consistently making unwarranted comments about me and my partner. Description says 3 meals/day and we were not given breakfast on 3/4 of them.

I was thrown off because it seems like Sammy doesn't want help at all. When I asked, I was told I'd work in the afternoons, but in the afternoon I was told to go take a nap. Those living there are working hard all day, so it feels bad to sit around. There aren't other forms of engagement offered unless you want to entertain her son. Beyond that, I appreciated Sammy trying to care for me when I was sick. I did get something out of the experience as Sammy will share her stories and her son will try to teach some Vietnamese. I think 15$/day is too much considering how much it's worth in Vietnam.

This experience was a cultural exchange, not a work exchange. Work hours and expectations were not made clear, so we mostly just explored the area and hung out. The property is lovely and the surrounding activities are fun! I would recommend Yok Don National Park to see wild elephants, as well as the coffee museum. Sammy's kids are awesome and I really loved playing with them. Sammy did a great job of giving us local cuisine and recommending things to do in the area. However, she would often make comments about myself and my partner, among other things, that felt unwarranted.

Sammy was a good host and was welcoming, however I think this should be considered more of a homestay than a volunteering position. We tried many times to offer to help Sammy, but she seemed to have very few, if any, jobs for us to do. This is a nice place to chill out if you have been travelling for a long time and the food is great. However, we left early as we were looking to participate in a work exchange, and there wasn't any work for us to do. We were quite disappointed as it didn't match the description.

In the description on the profile the host lies, about the working hours and the type of work. She is an entrepreneur who has two children and needs a babysitter for her two kids to take care of for most of the day. There are no other activities, the dormitory is mixed, there are no single rooms. You cannot smoke, you can see it coming out of the entire structure. They have a puppy dog and keep him tied up all day, with no water. to refuse the offer, but I had to stay there during the day because I had no place to go, I did not sleep there and she made me pay anyway. A scam

1. You misjudged the work due to haste.
2. I'm a working mother; my children are independent.
3. Room details were right in the description.
4. Smoking indoors, especially in an A/C room, creates a fire risk.
5. Dogs are restrained for safety. They are fed and watered.
5. You used our services (eating/sleeping) and refused payment.
6. Your behavior reflects poorly on your personality. Other volunteers
agree.
7. I could leave a bad review, but I won't. Be kind and be a human, Sharon!

I had a lot of fun here for 9 days. The people are great and really looked after me. It was great to connect with nature and learn so much about gardening. I would recommend this opportunity to anyone that loves the outdoors and wants to contribute to a good social project.

Hi Ngoc sis, thank you for being like a big sister to me and for supporting me so much throughout my research. I'm also very grateful I got to make a connection with H'Hiep and H'Hiep's mother. I would definitely recommend this the home to others who are looking for a place to experience living with a local family, traditional culture, and an encouraging place for learning. There are also good opportunities to visit local farms and waterfalls, which were really fun experiences. the home is also newly built and very nice, and was a great space for meeting other travelers as well.

This place is truly charming. The shared rooms are modern and in excellent condition, with very comfortable beds and top-notch services. I also loved the food; each dish was delicious and well-prepared. What really stands out is the warmth and hospitality; I felt very welcomed thanks to the dedication and kindness of Sam and Ester. You can see the love in every detail. I wholeheartedly recommend this place and appreciate them for creating such a wonderful space.

I had a wonderful experience during my three-day stay! It was inspiring to witness Ms. Hiep and Ms. Ngoc's genuine passion for supporting local farmers and their families. Their dedication to giving back to the community is truly commendable. I'm grateful for the opportunity to see firsthand how they are making a positive impact!

Brianna was the first volunteer to arrive at our house. Unlike my stress, she creates a pleasant atmosphere when communicating with me and other members of the house. She has the patience and gentleness of an educator. She always makes matters simple and easy to understand. She is very friendly and comfortable when sharing about her experiences during her travels during the past time. Her experiences with indigenous farmers at BMR were rich and interesting. In addition, her suggestions for me - the host, were very helpful and constructive.
