The organization, the best experience of my life! Burhan is incredible, he gives everything for the village, the children and the school. Life there is simple, the people are incredibly kind and Ibu became like a second mom to me. I've found a new family and friends. The kids are eager to learn and love spending time with volunteers. Many projects are underway to raise money. If you're looking for a rewarding experience, the organization needs volunteers and ideas! I'm definitely coming back! 😊

Staying at the organization village was truly a heartwarming experience. Everyone in the village is very generous. The team took great care of me and felt like friends in the end. Teaching English to the students was fun, even though it was challenging for me in the beginning. Be aware about the fact that you're teaching alone and have to come up with your own “lesson”. Besides that they really involved me in their village life and culture. I participated in many community activities like producing coconut oil. I had a great time with them and learned a lot. I definitely recommend and want to come back!

Everybody at the Bongak village was incredibly kind to me, particularly Burhan's mother. Sadly, my time staying at the bungalow was cut short, as I suffered a knee injury. I was playing football with the kids after school one day, and I slipped and dislocated my knee cap. Everybody was extremely kind and caring for me during this time, they drove me all the way to a hospital in Mattaram (more than 1 hour away). They even bought me food while I was in the hospital and stayed until late at night. I will forever be grateful for the people of this village, and I will be returning soon!

I had a really great time here. I was warmly welcomed, and was well looked after, (I got very sick and they took really good care of me and made sure that I was comfortable). The children are amazing. I would teach and English class in the morning, and play basketball with them in the afternoons. I got 3 delicious meals a day, they even let me borrow a motorbike so that I could go into town when I wanted during my free time. I would definitely come back one day.

It was an incredible experience to live in the village. All the children are very motivated to learn English and French, they will want to make you discover their daily life too. The welcome within the family is very warm, you feel like you are in your own family. You will not leave this experience indifferent, thank you to Bongak Foundation.

Everything was so amazing! everyone you meet will welcome you like family, everyone takes great care. The work is fun, the Children and young people in the school are keen to learn and improve their languages such as everyone will be around you. Don't forget that it's a small village and be open minded, then I think everyone is absolutely going to love it here !

Burhan and his family were incredibly welcoming and friendly, always going out of their way to make us feel at home. They provided delicious local meals three times a day, giving us a real taste of the culture. My main role was to teach English to local students who were so motivated and excited to learn, which made the experience really fulfilling. We also enjoyed some amazing outdoor activities, like visiting the local university in Kuta, where we got to meet even more locals and see the community up close. Overall, it was a memorable and enriching experience!

Burhan and this mother welcome you as a member of their family. They have a real project of sustainable development and improvement of their territory. Burhan is very aware of the different environmental issues, and I appreciated that. In general, you give a French or English class every morning, the students are really motivated and it is nice to teach with them. The villagers are also very open to include you in different events or to cook. You can also meet Be, a friend of Burhan, always ready to help you.
