In this role, you'll lead individual sessions, engage in conversations, and help build confidence in their English or French skills. What you offer

15 hours of help per week

Teaching Languages: Teaching a language to the host, guests, or local communities.


What you get

1 day off per week

Team Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other people.

Program Details

Our teaching program offers a unique opportunity to engage with Sri Lankan hosts through practical, hands-on language learning. This role focuses on building real-life conversational skills in English and French, specifically tailored to hospitality needs. Teachers will conduct individual classes, dedicating around 4 hours each day to dynamic activities that cover essential communication topics like:

Welcoming guests warmly and professionally
Guiding guests around the hostel, showcasing facilities and services
Assisting with price negotiation and explaining options clearly
Providing insider tips about the city, must-see attractions, and local dining spots
Classes will take place both within the hostel and around the city, as teachers accompany hosts on walks or join various activities.


Rules

The volunteer must give priority to the hostel guests during their stay and keep focus on the job is a must.
