Program Details
Our wildlife rescue center is located just 5 hours from Cusco and many adult project managers are in need of learning english to be able to communicate better with the volunteers who work mostly by caring for the animals, landscaping in the hummingbird and botanical park, building eco farms in the indegenous community, and machete work on the conservation area. Happy to tell
you more about out conservationists collective. Ask me anything.
We are looking for a volunteer who is at a basic spanish level at least and on a good english level. English does not have to be your first language. You will teach to beginners and what matters is that you have a talent for transporting knowledge and creating classes for ONE student at a time usually, tests and posess a feeling for your students needs.
Activities & Shift
There is two types of teaching methods
One that is sharing vocabulary in everyday situations and maybe even translate what happens, when the rest of the group speaks english, while you and your student walk and work along with the rest of us.
And there is dedicated time mostly in the mornings an evenings, for in depth learning (basics for now) creating english games, being creative together and after a while, testing your students.
You will have time for you to research for and prepare the classea and then to give them. I will
gove you tips and ideas and some guidelines on how to teach, if you are not experienced at all.

-no racism. Stay humble if you get educated by someone.
-no queerphobia, this includes that any pronouns of all guests will be respected
-no smoking around non smokers without asking if it's okay.
-you can NOT be drunken or high on any substances when we walk the jungle or work with the animals. (this would be truly dangerous for yourself and others) you do you on free time
-no drama, try to communicate kindly and respect differences in personalities, diets, cultures and more.

-If you are or get sick, be responsible with your own and others' health. Rest as much as needed, see the doctor ( I accompany you) and wear a mask if needed.
