The experience

Join us in Huanchaco, a beach town just 11 km from Trujillo, Peru! We're looking for friendly & reliable volunteers to assist with reception and housekeeping at our hostel. Your tasks will include welcoming guests, keeping the hostel tidy, and ensuring a pleasant stay for everyone. In your free time, you can surf the famous Huanchaco waves, explore the rich local culture, or relax on the beach. Enjoy the laid-back vibe and become part of the team


What you offer

17 hours of help per week

Cleaning: Help clean the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas.

Administration: Help with booking systems and payments.

Reception: Help with check-ins, check-outs and guest assistance.

Intermediate English and Beginner Spanish

Program Details

We are currently working with two volunteers. They help the evenings from 5pm till 10.30pm, one day on one day off continuously. The evening shift consists of receiving guests, helping people with their bookings, and possibly a sweep, folding some sheets, cleaning up, or little things like that.
Volunteers can take yoga classes at a reduced rate and use our laundry facilities for free.


Activities & Shift

The tasks are the following:
1. A small sweep around the surf shower area.
2. Do one round around the bathrooms to change the towels and the binbags.
3. Keep the shared kitchen a bit in order.
4. See if there are is laundry drying upstairs to fold.
5. Clean the surfaces of the kitchen and the floor at the end of the shift.
5. Help guests with check-ins, updating their reservations, or other questions they may have.
6. You'll have lots and lots of free time to do your own things like working online, studying, or just hanging out with the people!


Rules

The most important thing is to be friendly and cheerful to the guests. The rest will be fine. ; -)
