Thank you for a wonderful experience in the boat! Being tour guide and DJ on the boat was a highlight. The customers were great, and it was fun practising my French at times. Niko, Joni, and the other captains and crew were friendly and knowledgeable. I loved the traditional food, evening socials, free kayaks at sunset, and hiking to the Castle. I enjoyed experiencing Greek culture and learning about Albanian history and traditions. The organisation and flexibility made everything run smoothly. The captains' humour and cocktails at Lido added fun. Great location, comfy room, and I felt safe.

This was my first work exchange experience, having no expectations, I truly feel a little upset to have to say goodbye to the people at the boat. You will make so many friends and see the beautiful Albanian Coastline . I want to thank everyone - staff and fellow volunteers for making this an unforgettable experience, hopefully I can come back one day !

The best volunteer experience! You will help 5 hours per day in office (actually it's very easy job) or on the boat as tour guide. I had so much fun on the boat! 🏊🏻‍♀️🚣🏻‍♀️ For that you have nice acomodation 🛌🏻, food 🌮🍝🍲 and also you can borow snorchel masks 🤿 on the boat or kayaks 🛶 for free! Niko, Joni and all the capitans are very friendly and also other volunteers were amazing! We had greatfull time together! You will feel like home very fast! I enjoyed every single day in the boat. 😍 Thank you for amazing experience 🤩

I absolutely loved my experience at the boat! From day one, the whole team made me feel welcome and part of the family. They were always kind, respectful with working hours, and ready to help. The food was delicious, often traditional, and the accommodation was very comfortable. I learned so much about Albania, its culture and history, and made beautiful friendships that I'll carry with me forever.

I don't think any world packers experience can live up to this one. Truly a remarkable experience! Niko, Joni, Dea, and all the captains were absolutely wonderful to work with. I couldn't recommend Himare the boat more.

Nico and the whole the boat Team were beyond welcoming from the moment I arrived in the boat. Truly an incredible experience with incredible people. From the town locals to the job itself, a once in a lifetime opportunity for me. Thank you Nico and your whole family/team for the trust and I hope to see you all again some day!

Good experience overall. The beach is right in front, and the town is small but really beautiful with amazing views. Work hours are respected, and the hosts are helpful, though shifts are sent the night before, which makes planning ahead a bit hard. Most work was office/flyers, but I could join boat trips if there was space. We didn't spend much time with the host family as they were busy during high season. The best part was meeting other volunteers, we had a lot of fun together and made great memories. Some downsides, but a rewarding experience if you love the beach!

I had a mixed experience volunteering with the boat. Dea and Nicko were lovely and the boat trips when we got to go on the boat was amazing. I wasn't expecting to work three night shifts per week until 11.30pm alone handing out flyers in the street. Shifts were received usually late the boat before which made planning hard and because of the shift times there weren't often many volunteers off at the same time to hang out. The accomodation was quite basic but in a really great location next to the beach. I would recommend if you like lots of beach time and don't mind working nights.

Thank you for your feedback. From the beginning, we explain to all volunteers that what we ask for is flexibility, since this is a busy seasonal job and we work every day. We never asked you to work extra hours.
We also feel it’s important to mention that most of your concerns seemed to be more about wanting time for parties rather than the actual volunteer tasks. We wish you the best in your future travels.

I had an amazing month at the boat. A big thank you to Niko, Dea, Joni and all the captains for being so welcoming! The majority of your shifts will be spent in the office or flyering, the tasks are easy and whilst there isn't formal training, Dea and the other volunteers are quick to help and answer any questions. The boat shifts are amazing and don't feel like work at all! The accommodation is basic but Niko and Joni listened to our feedback and are always making improvements. This was my first volunteer experience and I am so grateful to have spent it here!

I had an amazing month here! The work is easy and going on boat tours twice a week was a huge highlight. Himarë is small but perfect for beach lovers. Niko and Dea were kind and supportive (addressed concerns quickly) - and we socialised with the captains often! It can be a bit unorganised during peak season, but go with the flow and ask questions if unsure! Accommodation is basic but improving (no stove/windows however AC being installed soon!). Some social attitudes here may not align with progressive values— if you're part of a marginalised group/concerned about this message me for info!
