The experience
We are looking for a Carpentry and Roofing Specialist to volunteer at our school. The role involves performing carpentry tasks, such as building and repairs, and managing roofing projects to maintain and improve the school's facilities. Volunteers should have experience in both carpentry and roofing, be able to work independently, and have strong problem-solving skills.

Description:
Volunteers are asked to contribute €10 to cover the costs of food and accommodation during their stay. This contribution helps ensure that all necessary amenities are provided while you are volunteering.

This includes tasks like constructing shelves, doors, and other essential structures.Roofing Work: Inspecting and repairing roofs, replacing damaged shingles, and ensuring that the roofing is in good condition to prevent leaks and other issues.Maintenance: Performing general maintenance to keep carpentry and roofing elements in optimal condition.Shifts:Duration: Volunteers are typically scheduled for 5 hour shifts.Days: Volunteer shifts are usually arranged for 5 days per week based on project requirements and volunteer availability.Hours: Shifts generally include morning and afternoon sessions to align with the school’s operational hours and accommodate various schedules.Volunteers should have experience in carpentry and roofing, and be prepared to adapt .

Rules:Confidentiality: Maintain confidentiality regarding any sensitive information you encounter. Share any concerns only with Andrew (Director).Appropriate Dress: Wear suitable clothing—avoid revealing outfits and opt for modest, practical attire that is appropriate for working with children and in a school setting.Security: Keep personal belongings secured in your room and do not share contact details with anyone.Safety: Do not leave the project site without prior approval from the project coordinator for your own safety.Gifts and Donations: Any gifts or donations should be coordinated through the school and not directly with recipients.Your role as a volunteer is vital to ensuring the ongoing functionality and safety of our school facilities while providing a meaningful impact on our community.
