This was my first solo trip out of the country and I'm very happy and glad I chose to come to Yalova Turkey! Everyone there is so welcoming and friendly you wouldn't regret coming here! I'd definitely come back if I get a chance to:) there is so much you can do and the food is AMAZING!!

I couldn't have wished for a better first Worldpackers experience. Ahmed and Elnara are both the kindest people ever and took me everywhere. Even though it was tough to communicate with the locals, they took me everywhere with them and translated. Beside the flexible working hours, we did fun activities and Elnara is an amazing cook. Would definitely recommend this experience for anyone wanting to create a social impact and really learn about the Turkish people and culture. Thanks to my hosts for all they have done and will definitely come visit again, wherever that may be. Love you guys ♡

Some of the profile needs updating but the work is pretty much what you expect. You'll teach online and maybe some in the home, and for the most part, it's pretty flexible. Only complaint is that for online I was given very little notice for when I was teaching. I also found it difficult to socialize outside of it just because I didn't speak Turkish and that was a little difficult for me, but if you're looking for some time alone by the beach I would definitely recommend! The hosts wife Elnara is also the most kind soul and she took me hiking and to the hot springs (a pool w/ hot water).

Nos fuimos antes de la fecha estipulada y no actualizo Worldpackers porque el no es quien lo maneja. no revisa tu información; te envía un cuestionario y a su Instagram, parece solo para ganar seguidores. nos dijo que ya no trabajaba en el hotel y ofreció una “posición” en otra ciudad, por necesidad aceptamos. prometió que solo dormiríamos una semana en una cama sencilla mientras la otra voluntaria se iba, pero pasaron más de dos semanas y seguimos en un somier porque le pidió a la otra chica quedarse sin avisarnos. No tiene un plan ni horario en su “proyecto” las tareas son improvisadas.

Minha experiência foi, infelizmente, muito negativa devido ao comportamento inadequado de um gerente muito mais velho que trabalha e mora no hotel. Ele fez constantes investidas e ainda utilizou outros funcionários para mandar seus recados. Isso me deixou insegura, vigiada e sem liberdade. Deixei claro para ele que eu estava apenas para voluntariado, mas a situação se repetiu várias vezes. Como mulher, não pretendo voltar sozinha à Turquia, considerando o comportamento bruto de alguns homens como um todo. Com outros funcionários eu fui muito bem respeitada, mas por um todos perdem!
