The experience

We’re a new mother-daughter-run hostel resort in Mitla, Oaxaca — a colorful town full of mezcal, culture, and warmth. Living on-site are can be challenging, but we are here to help guests with tours, transport, and food tips. We’re seeking a friendly, hands-on volunteer who loves people, social media, and keeping things guest-ready. We are not always busy, so you'll have plenty of time to explore Oaxaca while helping shape our story! 💕

What you offer

25 hours of help per week

Party Promoter: Help organise and promote parties and social activities.

Administration: Help with booking systems and payments.

Reception: Help with check-ins, check-outs and guest assistance.

What you get

2 days off per week

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Free Hiking Tours: We’ll take you on excursions and hikes around town. For free!

Language lessons: Take free language classes at our place.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Fast Internet Access: High-speed internet for you to work remotely

Dedicated Workspace: Specific space for you to work remotely

Requirements

Beginner English or Beginner Spanish

Between 18 and 70 years old

Only hosts solo volunteers (doesn’t accept couples or partners)

What's not included

Flights, Travel Insurance, Internal Transportation and Visa

Program Details

We are a very friendly and open minded place. If you decide to join us we will be asking to welcome guests, show them the place, serve some drinks, help maintain the pool, check the water levels on the property. We will also need help promoting the hostel and pool parties, including social media.

Activities & Shift

We need help with social media and promoting the business. late night checkins, and assisting guest when necessary.1Taking a turn cooking or assisting would be appreciated.
