The experience

We seek volunteers to join us at Kyampengere Nursery and Primary School, a non-profit school serving underprivileged children. Volunteers will teach subjects like English, science, math, social studies, and religious education to nursery and primary students. Also coaching sports such as football, netball, and athletics. With limited teachers and many students, your help is vital in providing quality education.


What you offer

18 hours of help per week

Social Work: Help with volunteer work in local projects and communities.


What you get

2 days off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Team Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other people.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Discounts on Tours: Get discounts for tours and excursions around town.

Free Tours: We’ll take you on tours and rides around town. For free!

Permaculture Course: Take part in our Permaculture course for free.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Certificate: Get a certificate of completion after you finish your experience.

Fluent English or Intermediate Swahili

Between 18 and 80 years old

Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers

Discover the beauty of Uganda beyond the typical tourist path. Our volunteer program invites you to immerse yourself in the vibrant culture and rich landscapes while making a positive impact. Whether you’re a tourist, a conference attendee, or just eager to give back, we welcome you with open arms.

Upon arrival, you’ll submit your passport details and any educational qualifications, though we warmly welcome those without certificates. Our non-profit organization cares for nursery school and primary school children and malnourished babies of teenage mothers, and you'll be part of this nurturing environment. You'll stay in a spacious home with a large garden that provides fresh, local food for up to 30 volunteers throughout the year.


Activities & Shift

Education only during week days, from morning upto midday.

1: Teacher, Inspire young minds by teaching subjects like math, literacy, history, science and sports.Collaborate with local educators to help shape the future of these children and empower the community through education.
