My experience at “Cope the project” was truly incredible. It was the last volunteer experience I did in Africa before returning to my country, and with the help of my friends, I was able to make a significant social impact. Victor and John are truly dedicated to the children in the community, and the most important thing for me was finding a genuine organization with real needs where I could help and work together. So grateful with all of them. Will miss this community a lot.

Teaching the kids boxing was an amazing experience. They were all very kind and eager to learn. Victor and his friend went above and beyond to make me feel safe and welcomed, and they even took me along on some of their adventures, which made my time there even more special. I really enjoyed the little time we had together and appreciate their hospitality!

The sports school is nice, they have different teams for kids, girls and boys. At home, Victor and his friends are respectful and kind to you. The training time is around 5 to 7 pm during weekdays, so you'll have all the rest of the day for your own personal activities. If you're a woman and don't feel confident to coach the girls' team (in my case, I like football but do it just for fun and they are so good!), then as an alternative he offers you to train with them. Unfortunately, I had to modify my expected dates of my volunteering, but Victor was always receptive and flexible. Thanks a lot!

I had a really great experience at Gitohua Starlets. Victor and his friends are wonderful people and make you feel very welcomed. If you love the school its a must to come here!! Truly a really great project and I would love to come back!

I had an amazing experience teaching different boxing styles to the kids and youth, they were eager to learn and very welcoming, I did learn a lot too! I felt a bit clostrophobic at the place because I couldn't leave on my own and the building was very noisy at that moment and I am used to quiet open spaces. You will be accompanied by a host's friend for your errances in town and if you look for some nature around I woud reccomend Karura Forest.
