The experience
Helper needed for ecovillage community garden. Assist with bed prep, planting, watering and harvesting. Strong muscles required, and gardening experience an asset. Learn about permaculture and organic gardening.
Enjoy life in our friendly, intergenerational ecovillage of 50 eco-homes just an hour North of Sydney. Swim in the dam, walk in the forest, meet other villagers and travellers.

Tent:
You will sleep in a tent at a camping site.

Only hosts solo volunteers (doesn’t accept couples or partners)

Program Details
Our Ecovillage is a sustainable community located on the beautiful Central Coast, just over an hour north of Sydney.
Volunteers are able to join in regular community activities such as community meals, talks, films, working bees, parties and beach trips.
You will be assisting in the garden with planting, weeding, digging, mulching, composting etc. 2 hours per week required for cleaning of campsite facilities and occasional other jobs.
We need a volunteer who has a strong back and can help with the heavy work such as digging, turning compost and moving soil.
Activities & Shift
Accommodation and breakfast is in the village campground. Lunch and dinner are served in our home.
Your help will normally be four hours each morning in the community garden. Start time approx 7 am in summer, 9 am in Winter.
Rules
You will need closed shoes or boots. Shower shoes. Raincoat, long sleeved cotton shirts, sturdy workpants, warm jumper, jacket, beanie, scarf. Swimsuit, sun hat. Headlamp. Water bottle. Itch cream for bites, natural mozzie repellent. Tough gardening gloves. Snacks if you want something particular to have between meals.
