The experience
The PDRI (Peace Development and Research Institute) is dedicated to enhancing the educational experiences of vulnerable children through our Early Childhood Development Education (ECDE) program. We are seeking a passionate and motivated Fundraiser to support our initiative aimed at building two new classrooms that will serve as safe, nurturing environments for young learners.
What you offer
18 hours of help per week
Child Care:
Caring for, playing with, and spending time with children.
Building & Repairing:
Help with a wide range of repairs or building.

You will sleep in a tent at a camping site.

Intermediate English or Intermediate French
Between 18 and 65 years old

Program Details
To support this mission, we are seeking a passionate and motivated Fundraiser to join our team. Your efforts will directly contribute to the development of two new classrooms that will serve as welcoming spaces for children aged 3-6 years old. These classrooms will be equipped with age-appropriate resources and materials, fostering a love for learning and encouraging social, emotional, and cognitive development.
As a Fundraiser, you will play a vital role in helping us secure the necessary funds to create these transformative learning environments. Your creativity, communication skills, and dedication will make a meaningful impact on the lives of vulnerable children in our community.
Activities & Shift
- Collaborate with the PDRI team to design engaging fundraising campaigns, including online initiatives, community events, and donor outreach programs.
- Research potential grants and funding opportunities. Assist in writing compelling grant proposals to secure funding for the new classrooms.
- Create and manage content for social media platforms to promote fundraising initiatives and engage potential donors.
- Build and maintain relationships with current and prospective donors. Thank donors and provide updates on the impact of their contributions.
- Assist in recruiting and coordinating other volunteers for fundraising events and initiatives.
Shifts: 2 hours and 30 minutes Morning and the same afternoon.
