Volunteering at the hostel was a great experience, and I especially enjoyed the time spent painting. It felt good to do something hands-on and see the space slowly transform. There was something really peaceful and satisfying about it — plus, sharing the work with others made it fun. It was a simple but meaningful way to give back and be part of the place.

I had a wonderful experience volunteering at the the hostel in Copenhagen. I was warmly welcomed and treated with great respect by the manager, Marayka, as well as all the staff and fellow volunteers. The atmosphere was friendly and supportive, and I truly enjoyed being part of the team. It was a rewarding experience, and I definitely hope to return in the future!

Volunteering here was a fun and valuable experience. I improved my Spanish thanks to many Spanish-speaking volunteers, and the location near Nørrebro is perfect cozy, vibrant, and full of life. Shifts were simple and easy to learn, and the atmosphere made it easy to socialize. Breakfast was included daily, make sandwiches for lunch, and sometimes there was a buffet dinner. The kitchen could get crowded, with only two small stovetops for many guests, but overall I still had a great time.

Unfortunately, my experience at this host was not positive. The manager's disrespectful treatment created an intimidating atmosphere that led me to end my stay earlier than planned. This behavior seems recurrent, as both employees and volunteers admitted, “She is always like that" On my last day, she entered the volunteers' room in a tone of superiority to continue intimidating. I hope the host takes this feedback seriously and improves how volunteers are treated This behavior is recurrent, as mentioned by former volunteers in their reviews.

The fellow volunteers made the experience worthwhile! Although it's a bit far from the city, I really enjoyed my time in Copenhagen. My only criticism of this experience was the lack of communication from management, which made the start confusing and a bit unwelcoming. Things improved once trust was built. There was also some clear favouritism in how perks were given and it was unfortunate to find out that the volunteers could not use the bikes. On the bright side, the workload was clearly explained and the full-time staff were supportive and happy to help. Thanks for the experience, the hostel!

Overall, I had a good experience for my first world packer stay. The job itself can be exhausting, considering it's 4 hours you still get to enjoy the day and explore the area. I didn't have guidance initially when I arrived and had to prompt follow ups. However they were able to answer my enquires. The staff in general are really nice and supported as much as they could with providing direction. The reason I would recommend this stay though is for the community you build with the people.

It was a good stay overall. You might feel alone at the beginning since no one tells you where is each thing, even your room. Mel is the best, she works so hard and is always open to help you. Is a good place if you want to know CPH since it's well situated.

I worked during breakfast, cleaning dishes and the dining area. The staff ( like Axel, Gabriel, Thomas...) and other volunteers were super nice and helpful. The only thing I didn't like was how the boss treated us (she wasn't respectful to us). Also, the app said we could borrow bikes for free, which I was excited about, but when we arrived, we were told we had to pay for them . After we asked about it politly she just removed it from the listing, so we had to rent our own bikes. Apart from that, it was a good experience and i recommend this hostel.
