The boys are loving and very smart. The schedule is fair and the working hours are respected. Ioanna is flexible and if you ask her she can give you great tips and traveling recommendations.

Thanks to Ioanna for this experience in her house, I was able to travel and get to know Brussels, share with the children and also have several free days a week to get to know Brussels. Please note: there is no shared room for volunteers, it is a bunk bed in the living room (which is also the kitchen) so there is no privacy. You will have to do some cleaning because there is a lot of mess and dirt in the house. On a few occasions the host had comments and attitudes that made me feel very uncomfortable. Anyway, thank you very much to Ioanna, Sakis and the babies for everything, see you soon ❤️

Thank you for your feedback! Im surprised to hear that you were uncomfortable at some moments during your stay, since you did not mention any issue to me and behaved as everything is ok :) I clearly responded immediately to every request of yours (such as flexible days off for your visits etc) so I do not understand why you would not be open to me about anything that could have bothered you :) Maybe speaking openly is a point of yours that you could improve in the future :)
And yes, as we discussed since the beginning, helping to clean up the space where the kids eat and play-during your shifts - is part of the exchange and you had gladly agreed.

I had a nice stay in Brussels with Ioanna's family and the children are adorable. Ioanna is a great person who is always there to help you with whatever you need, just communicate and everything will be fine.

Well, I actually do not have words to say thank you for Ioanna. She open the door of her house to me and trust me to care about their two cute and smart children. She was always kind, generous and with a beautiful smile everyday. She is a model of a powerful woman and emanate joy and good energy. She always try to help as much as possible and also advise us with all the places to visit. Thank you for making me feel part of the family, thank you for all delicious food you cooked. I will miss you all so much, it was hard to say goodbye, you're a special family. I hope comeback in the future. 💙

I enjoyed this experience, I could know better the Belgium culture in my free time, Ioanna and Sakis are flexible with the schedules, to care of the children require responsibility but I didn't have any problem with them, I'll miss Achilleas and Leonidas (babies). Maybe the space in the house could be small for some people but for me was ok.

Mi experiencia en Bruselas fue hermosa! la pase muy bien, me divertí un montón, conecte muy bien con los otros voluntarios... Las tareas son muy fáciles de hacer y los horarios de trabajo son cortos, así que tuve mucho tiempo libre para conocer la ciudad e incluso ir a otras ciudades cercanas. Los niños son adorables y Ioana una gran anfitriona desde el principio fue muy clara con las tareas que debía realizar y se cumplió perfectamente, siempre estuvo atenta a todo lo que pudiera necesitar y a hacerme sentir cómoda. Solo tengo palabras de agradecimiento! Muchas gracias por todo :)

Ioanna foi muito amável e educado, sempre bem comunicativa e doce, e me deu ótimas dicas sobre o meu inglês, eu queria ser mais útil para retribuir todo o carinho que recebi, espero que ela cresça cada vez mais e que eu tenha encontrado uma amiga Ioanna was very kind and polite, always very communicative and sweet, and gave me great tips about my English, I wanted to be more useful to repay all the affection I received, I hope she grows more and more and that I have found a friend.

¡La experiencia fue muy enriquecedora! Ioanna siempre te hace sentir bienvenido en su hogar. Cuidar a los niños no se debe tomar a la ligera ya que implica una gran responsabilidad, además requiere de mucha paciencia y empatía, una vez que entiendes sus gustos e intereses, atenderlos y pasar tiempo con ellos es más fácil. Nos comunicamos con ellos en inglés y también nos enseñaron unas cuantas palabras en griego. Mi estancia fue en pareja y juntos, aún recordamos a Leónidas y Achilleas en nuestra vida diaria, dejaron una huella significativa en nuestros corazones :D
