The experience

Our volunteer program consists of helping us in different areas of the hostel, such as reception, bar, kitchen, cleaning, gardening... this allows all volunteers to learn from everything, and to value the work of their colleagues and the rest of the people who are in the hospitality industry.
The most important requirement to join us: to keep the atmosphere of party, surfing and relaxation that characterizes us, and above all to be motivated!

What you offer

30 hours of help per week

Kitchen Hand: Help prepare, finish and serve meals.

Housekeeping: Help with changing the bed linens and general housekeeping.

Reception: Help with check-ins, check-outs and guest assistance.

Bartending: Make and serve drinks and help maintain the beverages inventory.

What you get

2 days off per week

Team Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other people.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Program Details

our volunteer program consists in helping us in different areas of the hostel, such as reception, bar, kitchen, cleaning, gardening... The shifts are 6 hours a day, for 5 days a week. Volunteers enjoy 2 consecutive days off to get to know Puerto Escondido and the rest of the state of Oaxaca.

In exchange, we offer shared accommodation with other volunteers, two meals a day and multiple discounts and invitations to partner places (parties, gym, beach clubs...). Also, while working on reception you'll earn commissions for the rentals and tours, and while working at the bar or kitchen, you'll earn daily tips.

Activities & Shift

The daily activities change depending on the position to cover each day.
Reception activities: the check-in / check-out process, helping guests in what they need, offer tours and rentals...
Bar activities: make and serve drinks, work in animation for the guests (doing activities and keeping the vibe), clean and organize the bar.
Kitchen activities: help cooking the meals for the staff and the clients. Clean and organize the kitchen
Cleaning activities: helping make the beds that need to be done, clean the rooms, bathrooms and common areas
Gardening activities: help our gardener on the maintenance of the garden and the pool.
