Be a Farm helper and live a true New Zealand Experience

The experience

Handy all rounder needed to help us maintain a 10 acre block within walking distance to shops and train station.
We are time poor and just need helping hand.
We have a double bedroom with its own kitchenette and living space available for helper to enjoy. But traveler has to use the shower in the main house.
We prefer fit and healthy people who are non smokers and non vapers. Building experience would be a plus as we have projects.

What you offer

20 hours of help per week

Animal Care: Help look after and take care of animals.

Building & Repairing: Help with a wide range of repairs or building.

Farming: Plant crops, sow seeds and help in outside tasks.

Gardening: Help grow plants and cultivate gardens

What you get

2 days off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Fast Internet Access: High-speed internet for you to work remotely

Requirements

Intermediate English

Over 21 years old

Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers

Program Details

Free accommodation in exchange for help. Can’t feed you as too busy but kitchenette available. Come and go as you please

Activities & Shift

Daily activities would be feeding farm animals. Weeding veggie gardens and clearing gorse and blackberry from land and possible building projects
