In charming individual cottages mostly vegetarian meals, showcasing fresh, local produce. Put on your boots and help maintain the established permaculture and the Lodge. Save the planet one plant at a time while discovering incredible flora and fauna
What you offer
27 hours of help per week
Cleaning:
Help clean the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas.
Kitchen Hand:
Help prepare, finish and serve meals.
Farming:
Plant crops, sow seeds and help in outside tasks.

Description:
Less than 30 days the fee is 25 soles (~$6.6 USD) per day.
Longer than 31 days, the fee is 20 soles (~$5.30 USD) per day.
Discounts for locals
This fee includes electricity, gas, food, etc.
Transport costs 20 soles for the bus and 45 soles for the boat.
You must pay in cash (US Dollars or Peruvian soles) on your first day at the Lodge in person. Please come prepared with the cash beforehand.

Shared Dorm:
You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.
Team Dorm:
You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other people.
Breakfast:
You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.
Lunch:
You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.
Dinner:
You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.
Use our equipped kitchen:
Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.
Basic Internet Access:
Basic speed internet for you to work remotely
Requirements
Beginner Spanish or Beginner English
Between 18 and 70 years old
Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers

Flights, Travel Insurance, Internal Transportation and Visa
Program Details
The workday is everyday from 7am to 12h (noon) with 1 break in between (10-15 mins) except Saturdays and Sundays. On Saturdays, from 9h-11h there is 2 hours of communal kitchen cleaning and disinfection, cleaning the compost toilet, and cleaning the outdoor shower
The tasks vary from:
-Termite checks in all buildings since we have a big termite problem
-Water plants
-Make compost
-Take care of the soil and all the permaculture garden
-Help take care of the dogs & cats
-Plant seeds and tend to them
-Build earth walls
-Cleaning and maintaining the entire lodge
-Varnishing wood furniture
-Cooking vegetarian meals with other volunteers (lunch & dinner)
-Physical tasks like moving bags of dirt (need to be in good physical condition)
*Please note that the jungle tasks are demanding physically and there are bugs and animals!
Activities & Shift
Typical day as a volunteer Monday through Friday:
Breakfast on your own in our outdoor communal kitchen
7am meet with Anne or Camille (Volunteer coordinators)
7h-12h work on tasks with other volunteers (with a 15 min break in between)
12h Start to prepare lunch with other volunteers
13h Eat lunch all together. Clean up lunch all together, change the kitchen sink water & refill drinking water as needed.
~Free time in afternoon~
17h/18h Start to make dinner with other volunteers
18h30-19h Eat dinner all together
21h Quiet hours
Activities & Shifts-
In the afternoon you have free time, activities that you can do include:
-Play volleyball
-Canoe on the Amazon River (location 40 soles)
-Go fishing (if you have your own gear)
-Go to local villages to play soccer or volleyball
-Swim in the natural pool
-Hike in the jungle
-Clay baths
-Medicinal plant ceremonies (when available, at your cost)
-Relax (read, play cards, play music)
Rules
Treat others as you would like to be treated!
No noise after 21h to respect others.
No alcohol or drugs on the premises.
No destruction, you pay what you break.
If you want to eat extra foods (chocolates, chips, cereals, special drinks...etc.) that are not offered at the lodge, it is at your cost.
NO peeing in the river
Do NOT enter the river if you are bleeding.
Do not touch any animals in the jungle
Please do not put any bags leaning on the mosquito net wall (casitas).
