My stay was wonderful, Simon and Jessica have a lot of experience hosting people and made me feel at home. They are very open minded and share a lot of their knowledge about permaculture and other surprising discoveries!I got to take care of the animals (chicken, rabbits and ducks), I have learned how to make a floor out of stones and ciment, as well as to cook nice things with the fresh ingredients they have in their garden. We always enjoyed a nice home made cambucha, playing games (note the most important rule: not let Simon win.)the surroundings offer lots of activities (river, hike, club…)

The experience at the Center was incredible! The hosts Simon and Jessica are lovely, their hospitality is amazing, I felt truly welcome at all times. They are very passionate about permaculture and the volunteering hours were created diverse and there was always something new to learn. Simon and Jessica put so much heart and effort into their sustainable project and their knowledge of their work is astonishing. Beyond the farm work, there was always something exciting to do in our free time like exploring Mizque, taking a swim in the river or hiking.

The worst part of my experience was leaving-I didn't want to! Simon and Jessica are amazing hosts. The work was not difficult and the work hours were respected and we had fun during the work time. Food was amazinly good even for a picky eater like me. They went out of their way to make sure the volunteers had fun during our off time. I strongly recommend this experience to anyone who wants to learn about sustainable living, and if you are accepted as a volunteer, you are blessed and will enjoy yourself. THANK YOU the Center team, you will be in my heart forever.

The experience was quite different from what I have expected. I was the only volunteer and schools were closed so I couldn't get in touch with other people, contrary to what I was told. I mostly worked alone building a fence, I hoped to be more involved in media creation or to learn more about permaculture. I sometimes felt a bit left out, as more attention was given to a paying guest, and the organization could be improved. That said, Jessica is lovely and an amazing cook, Simon is friendly and always open to chat, and little Tama is a joy. Unfortunately, 200€ were stolen from my room.

Staying at the Center was a good experience. I felt welcomed and we had good fun with Simon & Jessica. The farm is a haven't if biodiversity. Simon knows a lot and is always keen to look for innovation and better ways of doing . I got to learn the basics of water restoration and to help him protect the Mizque river. Can't wait to see the project's evolution

My experience in the Center was perfect, the place, right outside Mizque, is the house of this amazing family with the little Tama (6 months). If you want to learn about permaculture Simon it's gonna be more than happy to teach you all he knows and also about construction. The instructions are clear, all the time of work respected and the food is aboundant and very good :) I advice to take part of this project. They really love board games :)

The other volunteers and the hosts were amazing, we had a lot of fun playing cards, sharing meals, and activities on our days off too. I would highly recommended

Im so grateful for my experience at the Center working as an intern on the Bolivian Watershed Restoration Project. I learned so much about how permaculture practices can work to increase access to water, and enjoyed working with Simon on this. The farm was so nice and there were always other volunteers there; as an intern, I was able to focus more on water than the daily farm chores, but still felt like a part of the group. I appreciate Simon and Jes's flexibility and kindness. Highly recommend!

I felt very comfortable in the Center, it has a very good energy! Simon, Jessica and little Toma are very special. I had a real immersion in English. I helped in various ways with the farming and the animals, as well as with the baby for a few hours, and preparing good meals with the real food there. The working hours are respected and the schedule is well programmed. The rooms are comfortable and have a beautiful view of the mountains. I learned a lot in practice, and they are always happy to teach. I'll miss the fun card games after meals and the refreshing "cumbucha time". Thank you so much!

Kawai permaculture was a great learning experience. Even as a volunteer I felt I was able to learn about the sustainable practices that Simon and Jessica employ on the farm. The tasks were diverse, sometimes it was more physical gardening and other times it was childcare with Tama. Simon was responsive to what you wanted to do, so it felt like there was a lot of choice depending on your own interests. The hours were respected and we had three delicious and healthy meals everyday. Overall, it was a pleasure to work on the farm and with the other volunteers!
