What you offer

20 hours of help per week

Photography: Take, edit and provide amazing photos.

Video Making: Create, edit and publish digital videos.

Party Promoter: Help organise and promote parties and social activities.

Social Media: Maintain and update social media channels.

What you get

2 days off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Program Details

Our volunteer program is designed for world backpackers who are passionate about social media and community engagement. As a volunteer Social Media Host, you will create and manage content for our social media platforms, interact with guests and the local community, and help us tell the story of our place. In exchange, you will receive free accommodation, meals, and a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the vibrant culture of Weligama, Sri Lanka. We provide a supportive and friendly environment where you can grow your skills and make lasting connections.

Activities & Shift

Activities & Shifts:
Your daily activities will include:

Creating engaging social media content (photos, videos, stories) to showcase our co-living space and community.

Posting regularly on our social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook).

Interacting with guests and encouraging them to share their experiences on social media.

Assisting with community events and activities to capture content.

Monitoring and responding to social media interactions.

You will help flexible hours, approximately 4-5 hours per day, with two days off per week.

Rules

Maintain a positive and respectful attitude towards guests and team members.

Follow our social media guidelines and ensure content aligns with our brand values.
Respect the property and local culture.

No posting of inappropriate content or engaging in activities that could harm our brand reputation.

Participate actively in community events and activities.
