The experience
You have a pedagogical education (kindergarten/elementary school up to 13 years) and would like to support teachers from our school in teaching and supporting children. You are sensitive, empathetic, patient and willing to accompany the children over a longer period of time. Perhaps you are also musical and can contribute your own ideas and creativity. You can discover the beauty of Ghana at the weekend or during the vacations.
What you offer
30 hours of help per week
Music:
Perform to entertain guests, children or local communities.
Gardening:
Help grow plants and cultivate gardens
Child Care:
Caring for, playing with, and spending time with children.
Social Work:
Help with volunteer work in local projects and communities.

Description:
Part of the contribution is for the school project, part is for the accommodation and the associated costs such as water, internet, electricity.
What you get
2 days off per week
Private Room:
You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.
Breakfast:
You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.
Free Laundry:
You can use our laundry room freely.
Pick Up:
We will pick you up when you arrive, and take you to our property.
Use our equipped kitchen:
Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.
Basic Internet Access:
Basic speed internet for you to work remotely

Specific space for you to work remotely

Fluent English
Between 20 and 80 years old
Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers

Program Details
Our school is a kindergarten and elementary school for 116 children up to the age of 13. The children come from poor backgrounds and although they have little, they enjoy going to school. In addition to theoretical input, they also need a lot of creativity such as sport, music and art for their development.
Activities & Shift
Get to grips with Ghanaian culture and be open to the country and its people. A trip to Ghana requires tolerance, sensitivity and a willingness to embrace something new. We will help you with this and are always at your side to make sure you have a great time during your stay.
