The experience
Join our family at Humanitarian Concern Center (HCC) in Kathmandu! We provide a loving home for 15 children from disadvantaged backgrounds in the peaceful district of Budhanilkantha. Experience local life, help with daily tasks, and explore Nepal’s nature and culture. Your time and skills will make a lasting impact. Become part of our family today!
What you offer
20 hours of help per week
Arts:
Help with painting, graffiti, sculpting or drawing.
Teaching Languages:
Teaching a language to the host, guests, or local communities.
Child Care:
Caring for, playing with, and spending time with children.
Social Work:
Help with volunteer work in local projects and communities.
What you get
2 days off per week
Private Room:
You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.
Breakfast:
You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.
Dinner:
You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.
Free Laundry:
You can use our laundry room freely.
Get free drinks or beverages.:
Drink up! Get free and tasty drinks for yourself.
Use our equipped kitchen:
Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.
Fast Internet Access:
High-speed internet for you to work remotely

Program Details
I’m Sushmita, and I’m here with my mother, Indrakala, and my sister, Shristi. My parents founded this center in 2002, and we’ve continued to provide a loving home for children in need. Our family and local volunteers support us in our mission to give these children the decent life they deserve.
We welcome you to join our daily life and become a part of our family. Your help will always be appreciated—whether you’re teaching, cooking, playing, or just sharing your time.

Activities & Shift
Charity work, language practice, art projects, gardening, creative play, teaching, help with computers/website, cooking family meals, organize outings. We are open to every kind of activities, you can come as you are.
You will be free when the kids are at school during the day, and you can have 2 days off, if you want to stay all the week with us it's also possible, it's depended on you.
