The Experience

Hi, we are Heinrich , Peregrina and Najuka .We live in Portugal for 9 and 45 years. We live in a small farm in a beautiful environment in the south of Portugal, close to Monchique. We have a clay house with 2 separate rooms for guests, also a camping van and some tents. We want to turn our place into a permaculture system with all kinds of vegetation. We try to build a sustainable living. We keep 12 milking goats and make cheese every other day.

Listening closely to how you feel when you leave gives the real outlook on an experience.
For us the time spent with Najuka, Shaan, Peregrina and Shera was such a genuine human experience we could not ask for more.
Place is isolated but stunning, perfect to slow down. Work is fair, diverse and interesting. Being proactive and independent are keys to the success for your staying.
Hosts might not feel overtly communicative at first, but do spend the time to be around them, discover them and show interest: magic will happen and you will get to know amazing souls.
Thank you!

Our experience was amazing and definitely left a mark on our hearts.

The landscape is breathtaking, place is big and well advanced in organic farming.

Tasks are diverse and interesting, you will learn and pass through all the steps to grow food.

It took patience and some time to understand and consolidate communication with hosts.

We advise to be independent and take initiative in your way of working and living in the farm.

Respect common spaces. Of course hosts are there in case of questions or needs.

The room is comfortable and able to welcome couples.

The farm is beautifully located in the Monchique Hills and is truly an incredible place.
The work was fair, although wouldn't be opposed to even more at times.
The host were welcoming and warm and will defiantly be back! :)
