Its camping so don't expect glamping but the showers clean and hot water plenty of outlets if you bring blow dryers or curling irons . Setting up breakfast is fun and educational. We had international and tons of Italians and French for champions game so lots of fun conversations and then sad ones the day after Italians lost. I Lead Host is awesome so ypu feel comfortable at home friendly crazy team full of laughter every night. Work manageable setting up tents cleaning tents taking down tents. Lots of tents it's INTENSE INTENTS and educational experience. All the wine beer coffee can drink

For me, in general it was a great experience because you meet many people and also the local culture, MĂșnich it is a vibrant city during the Oktoberfest but also we had weeks with a lot of rain which made camping not the most comfortable due to the cold and humidity. The kitchen was not the most adequate although there is an interest in having the availability and variety of food. For me, the number of weekly hours was not well balanced with the type of work and what you get in return, which is food and camping. I suggest reducing the hours and improve the kitchen and staff areas. Thanks!

Big the camping, food adapts to everyone, the weather could be sunny and rainy but was 50/50. The tasks are separate by periods, first building tents after mostly reception and cleaning finally unbuilding and cleaning tents.

Rest days are respected, and the facilities are clean. Food is provided, . Volunteers often feel discomfort due to a lack of supplies, especially food towards the end of the week. Organization was lacking, though managers did their best. Dealing with angry customers was embarrassing when accommodations did not meet expectations. The weather in Munich poses challenges, and living in a tent for weeks can affect health. I recommend Oktoberfest, hoping the company learns from feedback to improve care for volunteers. Overall, the team worked hard, and I'm proud of them.

Volunteering at the camping was a lot of fun. The tents were cozy and there was hot showers and a good variety of food options. The work was simple, however sometimes a bit chaotic. I think it would be better if there was a few more volunteers. Anyway I had a lot of fun with all the other volunteers and this is a good way to experience Oktoberfest on a budget. I would recommend this experience! :)

The camping is alot of work and the experience depends alot on the team you have on location which changes from week to week. But we did all have heaps of fun despite rain and cold!

Overall it was a fun experience. A great opportunity to experience Oktoberfest if you're on a budget. The managers were great and understanding. Camplife was special and bonding for us the volunteers - I truly felt like after less than a week we became our own family. One negative for me was the workload - sometimes it was overwhelming for a volunteering job, especially at the beginning building all the tents. I'd recommend yes trips to bring in more volunteers and set the work week to be 25h a week instead of 32h. That definitely won't be as tiring for the volunteers. Overall would recommend!

The Yes-trips the camping was a cool and fun experience. The atmosphere among the staff was really good, thanks to the great volunteers. The food was perfect, with a good choice. Unfortunately, the lack of volunteers meant that the workload was quite intense at times. I think one way to improve the experience would be to increase the number of volunteers. The managers, however, did the best they could and helped us as much as they could. All in all, I'm pleased to have had the opportunity to experience this adventure!

The other volunteers were amazing and very friendly, I extended my stay because of them. This was a cheap place to stay during Oktoberfest; they had hot showers, toilets, and food vouchers on weekends. The downsides: sometimes we would get our work schedule the day before. The grocery budget was really small. The work was draining, we didn't have much time to ourselves after cooking, laundry in the city, and showering. I do wish that we volunteers were treated better. Because of the amount and intensity of the work we did, 5 volunteers left early. We were understaffed and disorganized.

Hello Reese! Thanks for your review!

We would like to adress the budget for food, we always bought whatever you asked for and at the end we had to donate much food that was leftover. We are suprised from this comment, problably you received wrong information.

It is correct that sometimes you have the workschedule the day before, but this was clear since the application, unfortunately being a campsite in Germany if one day it rains fully there is not much that can be done and the schedule needs to be adjusted accordingly.

Thanks for your feedback!
