The experience

We are offering people to vibe how we live in our community. Three keywords that represent us: Nature, Culture, and Art. This unique initiative aims to promote nature attraction, local culture, and collaborative art. Participants will engage in activities like nature exploration, cultural exchange, and art projects. Apply if you want to vibe with local stuff!

What you offer

20 hours of help per week

Painting & Decorating: Help with painting or decorating the property facilities.

Social Work: Help with volunteer work in local projects and communities.

Additional fee required

Amount: US$ 15 Per day

Fee pays for: Benefits for travelers, Materials for volunteer activities, and Donation to project

Description: When a participant contributes $15 to support activities in our area, the funds are allocated as follows: 1. Food ($3): Provides meals and snacks for participants. 2. Materials ($6): Purchases supplies and equipment for local projects. 3. Transportation ($3): Covers travel costs within our area. 4. Accommodation ($3): Ensures safe and comfortable lodging for participants.

What you get

2 days off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Free Tours: We’ll take you on tours and rides around town. For free!

Get free drinks or beverages.: Drink up! Get free and tasty drinks for yourself.

Free Parties: Get free entrance for the best parties in town.

Free Events: Get free entrance for the best events in town.

Pick Up: We will pick you up when you arrive, and take you to our property.

Language lessons: Take free language classes at our place.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Basic Internet Access: Basic speed internet for you to work remotely

Only hosts solo volunteers (doesn’t accept couples or partners)

Rumah Gaharu Program Descriptions

1. Nature Exploration
- Focus on exploring local nature attractions that need to be appreciated.

2. Cultural Exchange
- Exchange our culture in casual way to enrich our world knowledge.

3. Art Activity
- Encourages creative expression via any art fields such as painting, craft, music, and etc.

Rumah Gaharu Structured Program

Day Structure:

Morning:
- 8:00 AM - 9:00 AM: Breakfast and Morning Briefing
- Overview of the day's main activity
- Introductions and goals for the day

Main Activity:
- 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM: Based on Team Discussion

Afternoon:
- 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM: Lunch Break

Evening:
- 5:00 PM - 6:00 PM: Tea Break and Social Reflection
- Informal sharing of experiences and insights from the day
- Planning for future activities and community engagement

Free Time and Dinner:
- 6:00 PM onwards: Free time for participants
- Optional social activities or relaxation
- Dinner and informal gatherings to strengthen community bonds
