The experience
Rumah Gaharu is a family-run space deeply rooted in nature and traditional farming life. Operated by a local farmer family, it offers volunteers the unique opportunity to become part of the household, experiencing daily life firsthand while contributing to sustainable agricultural practices and community activities.
What you offer
20 hours of help per week
Cleaning:
Help clean the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas.
Painting & Decorating:
Help with painting or decorating the property facilities.
Gardening:
Help grow plants and cultivate gardens

Description:
You will pay 5$ additional fee as a donation which cover transportation, food and room.
What you get

Private Room:
You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Day Structure:
Morning:
- 8:00 AM - 9:00 AM: Breakfast and Morning Briefing
- Overview of the day's main activity
- Introductions and goals for the day
Main Activity:
- 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM: Based on Team Discussion
Afternoon:
- 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM: Lunch Break
Evening:
- 5:00 PM - 6:00 PM: Tea Break and Social Reflection
- Informal sharing of experiences and insights from the day
- Planning for future activities and community engagement
Free Time and Dinner:
- 6:00 PM onwards: Free time for volunteers
- Optional social activities or relaxation
- Dinner and informal gatherings to strengthen community bonds
