The experience

An old traditional Norwegian farm with a property at 10 000 daa/2500 acre. Main production are organic free range pigs. We also grow organic christmas trees. Some frukt and vegetables for own use. Its located in a valley named Tovdal. The accomondation for worldpackers are a small off grid cabin for one person. Located beside the wild river. Bio toilet and out door shower. River is warm and nice for swim in summer. Several hikingtrails nerby.

What you offer

25 hours of help per week

Painting & Decorating: Help with painting or decorating the property facilities.

Animal Care: Help look after and take care of animals.

Building & Repairing: Help with a wide range of repairs or building.

Farming: Plant crops, sow seeds and help in outside tasks.

What you get

1 day off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Free Hiking Tours: We’ll take you on excursions and hikes around town. For free!

Bikes at your disposal: You can use our bikes any time you want.

Program Details

Activities & Shift

Basic farm tasks. We start around 09.00 in the morning, luch about 12.00 and finish at 15.00 Tasks during the day will be feeding pigs, checking all animals, cleaning barn and pig areas when needed, different maintance on buildings, fencing, weeding in the garden, gravel road maintance, fire wood, forestry.

Rules

If you're gonna do any tasks in forestry with chainsaw, we need you to proof your experience.
