Program Details
Our objectives are clear and impactful: We aim to raise awareness about mental health and break down the stigma surrounding it in our community. By providing vital support and resources, we’re here for individuals facing mental health challenges, helping them navigate their journeys.
We believe in empowering everyone to take charge of their mental health and well-bei
In addition to volunteering, volunteers will have the opportunity to explore the local area of Moshi, Arusha, and surrounding areas. They can visit waterfalls, immerse themselves in nature, go hiking, discover hidden gems, relax in hot springs, explore historical places, learn about the culture and traditions of the Chagga tribe, and even learn some Swahili language.
We also organize extra activities for volunteers, such as safaris and Mount Kilimanjaro trekking, to further enhance their experience in Tanzania.
Activities & Shift
Day-to-Day Activities for Volunteers:
1. The main task that volunteers will contribute to is providing mental health care support to individuals in need. This could involve offering emotional support, conducting wellness checks, facilitating group therapy sessions, or providing resources and referrals to mental health professionals.
2. Shift hours will be planned based on volunteers' availability and preferences. We can accommodate various schedules, whether it be mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekdays, or weekends. Volunteers will also have the option for designated day offs to ensure they have time for self-care and rest.
3. We expect volunteers to be compassionate, empathetic, and non-judgmental when engaging with individuals seeking mental health support. We also encourage volunteers to actively listen, communicate effectively, and maintain confidentiality at all times.
