The stay at the hostel was great. The work was easy and how it is described. The volunteer room is good and you're never alone, if you don't want to be. If you want, you can go out a lot to the bars and art house (club). There you can meet locals and tourists. I would definitely recommend the hostel for your volunteering and would like to go back. Thank you to everyone.

I had a wonderful time at the hostel! There are so many benefits: nice shared room, good location, discounts at the main bars/surf lessons, free laundry and breakfast. The work was straight forward and there were instructions available after my training to reference which was very helpful. There are 3 shifts/6 hours each (morning, afternoon, evening), but you will spend MAX 1/2 this time actively working, especially in low season. They were in between supervisors during my time, so that left things a tad unorganized. But when in doubt go with the flow! Would still recommend for a couple weeks!

This volunteering was a good experience overall, but I think that some changes are truly needed. I had fun and felt welcome with all the team, and Faro is a nice city in an amazing region. Despite some shift were communicated really late, the situation improved with a fixed schedule. The host is really trying to give you the days off that you need. In the other hand, I think that this hostel really relies too much on volunteers (we have to do all the cleaning and the breakfast) and so (as it requieres 6 hours shift sometimes quite exhausting) all the meals should be offered at least.

I met amazing girls at the hostel who made my stay wonderful. The tasks were manageable and it was good to have three days off during the week. Mafalda and Caina, the staff, were always nice to us. Unfortunately, there were some issues and some of us left earlier because of that. The communication between the managers, staff and volunteers could be improved. Someone who wants to volunteer there should be aware, that there aren't many young people who stay there and that it is not a social or party hostel.

I had a really good experience volunteering at Lemonhostel. The staff and other volunteers were very friendly and welcoming, and the work was easy and well manageable. The atmosphere is calm and relaxed, though the hostel itself isn't particularly social. Still, I enjoyed my time here and met kind people, which made the experience worthwhile:)

I had a great time volunteering at this hostel in Faro. The staff were super friendly, and the tasks were easy and manageable. Cleaning and shift scheduling weren't always well-organized, but it didn't ruin the experience. The hostel has a cozy, social vibe, and I met lots of amazing people. I'd recommend it if you're flexible and up for a relaxed atmosphere.

My stay was nice. The tasks were easy and the other volunteers were very nice. However, me and my friend were promised the same days off which wasn't completely granted. The supervisors also didn't do things the same way which led to some confusion.

I really enjoyed my time at the hostel. The hosts were very nice and there was a great group of girls working that made the time in Faro very fun. It's a great place to relax and make new friends!! I do believe the communication between supervisors could be improved, as we were told 2 different ways to complete tasks, which made it confusing for the volunteers. Besides that, it was great and I'd recommend to another traveller!

All in all I enjoyed my stay in Faro, especially the other volunteers made my time there really great!! However when it comes to the work, I would change some things. The hostel really lives from their volunteers as we did most of the work. Also sometimes they let us do some shifts alone without teaching us all the tasks properly beforehand. I think there should have always been a supervisor in the hostel with us because we as volunteers weren't able to answer all the questions the guests had. Overall the time there was really fun but they could do some improvements.

I had a great time at the hostel! The supervisors were kind and flexible, and I learned a lot at the reception. The vibe with the other volunteers was amazing, we became very close. Sometimes shifts ran longer due to late check-ins, and a few tasks weren't clearly explained at first. But there was also lots of freedom during quiet shifts. The accommodation was basic but cozy. The room was small for six people and we cleaned it ourselves, but overall it was a nice experience!
