Program Details

Hello everyone! My name is Joseph and I am the CEO of Ferrinandah Children's Home for vulnerable children. We are a registered project in Bujagali, Jinja in Uganda. I have put my heart, my sweat and my strength in this project for the last 4 years. With some help from my mother and my sisters I try to provide an educational background for vulnerable children with the aim of giving them a chance to make it in life as responsible, hard working individuals.

Right now we are supporting 36 children and 20 of them live in our home. Every morning our kids walk to the local schools. Even though I do my best we still have a long way to go and we are always looking for volunteers to help out at our center! There is a lot of work for us to do and a lot of improvements we want to make. I have many dreams and goals for our organisation and I need some help to make them all happen.

Activities & Shift

I would need help for many tasks, since we are still trying to establish ourselves.

We need help for building, teaching and maybe do some fundraising. It will depend on your skills and any kind of help is appreciated. Right now my first focus is to finish building our dorms. Other work that we need is to help our kids with their homework, do some sports or plays with them, help aunt Abigail to cook and clean...
As you understand we have different needs, so we are flexible and we are always open for new ideas!
