Program Details

This role is perfect for someone passionate about surfing and eager to share that passion through engaging content and effective social media strategies.

As our Social Media volunteer, you will:

Capture and edit photos and videos during surf lessons, hostel events, and daily camp life.

Create reels, posts, and stories that reflect the authentic vibe of our surf community.

Manage our social media accounts, keeping them consistent and engaging.

Schedule and publish posts, monitor channels, respond to comments, and interact with followers.

Support the development of marketing initiatives, such as newsletters (Mailchimp) or campaign ideas, if you have prior experience.

This position is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in content creation and social media management while living by the beach, improving your surfing, and being part of a friendly, international surf camp team.

Activities & Shift

You will be expected to dedicate around 30 hours per week. Shifts are flexible and depend on daily surf lessons and camp activities.

Your main responsibilities will include:

Content creation & social media management: capturing, editing, posting, and engaging with our community online.

Surf school support: assisting instructors with tasks related to surf lessons.

General help: washing wetsuits, cleaning surf vans, and helping with other small tasks that keep the surf camp and surf house operations running smoothly.

Rules

To make sure everyone has the best experience, we ask our volunteers to:

Be reliable and proactive, taking initiative when opportunities for content or help arise.

Respect the surf camp’s equipment, guests, and spaces.

Keep a positive and team-oriented attitude, supporting fellow volunteers and staff.

Follow the agreed schedule and communicate if changes are needed.

Bring your own laptop and phone for editing and social media management (we provide Wi-Fi and the surf camp environment — you bring the tools).
