Join our NGO and make a difference in the lives of vulnerable communities in Northern Uganda. Volunteers will act as a team in communities, schools, and households, focusing on community health, HIV/AIDS and malaria prevention, sexual reproductive health rights, climate change, livelihood, education for orphans, and sports. Explore the vibrant culture and beautiful landscapes while contributing to meaningful community development!
What you offer
30 hours of help per week
Child Care:
Caring for, playing with, and spending time with children.
Social Work:
Help with volunteer work in local projects and communities.
Teaching Sports:
Teaching or assisting the host, guests, or local communities in practicing sports or physical activities.
Teaching Languages:
Teaching a language to the host, guests, or local communities.

Shared Dorm:

Requirements
Intermediate English or Fluent English
Between 25 and 57 years old
Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers

Flights, Travel Insurance, Internal Transportation and Visa
Program Details
We don't provide tents but provide space next to the volunteers house for planting tents so the volunteers have to bring at least small size tents.
We expect from volunteers: Team work, joint planning and work plan implementation, Activities check list, weekly report, report filing and documentation,team trips for ssafari and networking and synergy building, fundraising for projects and becoming trustees of our NGO.
Im willing to teach basic tasks including local language and also how to be facilitators in rural areas and how to approach our community especially telling volunteers about other gender and social norms . Each volunteers will be attached to a staffs to be their counter part attached to them.
Activities & Shift
Planning , Oragnizing and implementing activities like community health education , HIV/AIDs prevention sensitization, Malaria prevention awareness , sexual reproductive health right empowerment ,climate change actions events , livelihood trainings , education supports to orphans and sports ,home and schools visits.
The main tasks will be Data collection and compilation, Home visits to beneficiaries, report writing, being facilitator in a workshop, Filing and documentation, mobilization, sensitization through radio talkshow and community dialogues.
The shift hours and day offs are not yet planned, we shall plan together when volunteers arrive.

Volunteers must respect and follow contract agreement terms and condition signed
