Was an excellent experience. Really out of my comfort zone but after a couple of days of getting used to Jungle life I felt fine. We had a bit more downtime due to the rain so some of the tasks got moved or unfortunately cancelled but this was made up by the community feel around the camp.

This was my first Worldpackers trip and it was life changer! Working alongside the staff and locals in the area held all of my favorite memories from the trip. The staff is extremely knowledgable and understanding as well. The work they are doing there is just so important, it's not just saving sea turtles, its much more then that. The work to-do leaves you feeling very proud of yourself and much more wiser as a person overall. I did not know about the solo trip listing, as I saw a group trip listing only, so I would have preferred to book the solo trip to save money, but that's all!

I'm staying at the shelter for 10 days and let me tell you how wonderful it is! The food is very good (as long as you like rice and bean haha) and the people very sweet and fun. The work is mostly clean paths, beaches and watching the hatchery. It is really easy and not too long. They have really cool optional activities as caiman tours, bird watching, night walk in the jungles. The staff knows A LOT about nature and will be happy to answer to your questions ! The accommodation is very nice too, just be ready to take cold showers and wash your laundry in the sink ! I highly recommend !

An amazing experience! 🌴🐢 Everyone was super friendly and it was so easy to meet other travelers 🤗 The nature was stunning and peaceful. Big thanks to Ara for the delicious meals 🍽️ and to Val & Robbie for teaching us so much about wildlife 🦎 Small tip: more cleaning supplies for daily tasks would help 🧼 Tasks were otherwise super doable and not too tiring. I'll miss the two dogs, Zeus & Peluquín, so much 🐶 Bring them bacon treats — they'll love you! 💛 I'll definitely be back! ❤️

I had an unforgettable time at the project. We learned a lot about sea turtles, wildlife protection and ecosystems in general. Our tasks included collecting trash at the beach and cleaning the jungle paths. Unfortunately due to bad weather and beach conditions we couldn't join the nightly turtle patrols this week. Still we spotted plenty of animals like monkeys, snakes, sloths and frogs. My personal highlight was the night boat tour where we saw baby caimans.

This experience was very meaningful and relaxing! I spent one week here and wish I would've stayed longer. The staff are welcoming and lighthearted. Robbie shared countless information about the local flora and fauna and is such a wonderful teacher. Each day has a written schedule with about 2 activities each day lasting about an hour to two hours. This consisted of raking and cleaning paths mainly. Outside of that you have the entire day to do what you want, you can go to the beach, talk with others, read, etc. I didn't get to see any turtles unfortunately but we saw countless other animals!

THIS PROJECT WAS A LIFE-CHANGING EXPERIENCE AND ONE OF THE RICHEST I'VE EVER HAD. I connected deeply with nature and animals, touching a cayman, seeing sloths, and many exotic birds. I met animals I'd never seen before!!!!!! The team is loving and dedicated, especially the biologist, a truly brilliant expert, who knows everything about the region's fauna and flora. The project has a special soul and unique atmosphere. Many volunteers stay longer than planned because it's truly amazing. I highly recommend this host and can't wait to return and continue learning and contributing.

I really loved all the people there! Everyone was so nice and friendly, especially Robbie and Noemi! They really went out their way by helping with planning transportation to my next destination, have really good leadership skills and told us a lot about the flora and fauna at the shelter! All the volunteers were so nice and it was always fun, even when we were cleaning the jungle path or the general cleaning haha :)
