The experience

We are a community-driven educational center in Sumbawa, committed to fostering a love of learning and personal growth among local children. Our programs focus on holistic education, environmental awareness, and cultural appreciation.

You will gain hands-on experience, cultural exchange & personal fulfilment by joining our project. We are looking for volunteers who is patience, adaptable, and posses positive attitude.


What you offer

15 hours of help per week

Gardening: Help grow plants and cultivate gardens

Arts: Help with painting, graffiti, sculpting or drawing.

Teaching Languages: Teaching a language to the host, guests, or local communities.

Additional fee required

Amount: US$ 5 Per day

Fee pays for: Materials for volunteer activities and Donation to project

Description: Volunteers contribute 5$ per day to help us cover operations costs, taking care of the local families that help us, buying kitchen supplies. Food ingredients will be provided at our fully equipped kitchen for volunteers to cook basic meals together with our students.


What you get

4 days off per week

Team Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other people.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Get free drinks or beverages.: Drink up! Get free and tasty drinks for yourself.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.


Requirements

Intermediate English

Between 18 and 70 years old

Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers


What's not included

Flights, Travel Insurance, Internal Transportation and Visa


Program Details

We need volunteers to help with:
1) Teaching English: Help children improve their English language skills through interactive lessons and activities.
2) Tutoring: Provide one-on-one or small group academic support in various subjects.
Environmental Education: Lead activities and workshops focused on sustainability and environmental stewardship.
3) Arts and Crafts: Encourage creativity through art projects and crafts.
4) Sports and Recreation: Organize and supervise sports and recreational activities to promote physical health and teamwork.


Activities & Shift

We have three classes per week. This would be mandatory for the volunteer to involve. It’s 2hr/class. So, 6hrs/week of activity with local kids.

For daily activities (non teaching) probably around 2-3hrs per day. This will include cooking for yourself and taking care of the facility.

The total is about 14-19hrs/week
