I would recommend to go in the summer, or with extra blankets and coats and pants, because it can be very cold when there is no sun. Even with a sleeping bag and 3 (thin) blankets we were cold. Except the fact that the host could provide better blankets, it is obviously not his fault, because he did notice us before hand that it could be cold. The first few days were really nice, but then S. started being a little rude, acting like we didn't want to work (because we woke up later that 7:30am, and that is after telling us he was super flexible and chill) and giving me the silent treatment…

Regarding the end of your stay, after we couldn’t accommodate your last-minute request for an extra night, we noticed a change in attitude. Participation in tasks dropped, and the focus shifted away from shared work. We value mutual respect and contribution, and it’s unfortunate this balance was lost.

If you are looking for stunning views, peace, tranquillity, and a place to connect with nature, this is the perfect spot. In my case, it was just the host and me working together for a week. The host is very calm, respectful, attentive to make sure everything is okay, and flexible. The villa is amazing and well-preserved for its age, but still needs some work. We were cutting down trees and plastering a ceiling. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience because I was looking to do some physical activity, and I love renovating. Thank you once again for the experience and for your kindness!

The host were immensely respectful and caring. I enjoyed helping to clean, restore and paint the villa. The natural environment is amazing and even though there is work to do, it is a very charming house, creating an enjoyable experience. I recommend 100% enrolling at this volunteer.

Amazing experience in the home. Everything was perfect, the house is very big and beautiful it needs lots of work but I can help S.N with sand and painting fences and windows in the morning hours or in the evening depends on the weather. We cooked and had dinner and lunch together and we could visit others villages with him. SN respected and was flexible with agreeded dates, tasks, work and free time hours and house rules. I really recommend this experience!!

Amé mi experiencia con S y H! Son personas muy amables y agradecidas con el trabajo que desarrollé. Todos los días las tareas fueron diferentes por lo que en ningún momento te vas a aburrir, además , S y H eran muy atentos con los descansos, me ofrecían agua constantemente y el trabajo era Justo. Conocí a otras voluntarias de España y eso hizo que el ambiente fuera súper divertido. S siempre nos ofrecía vino por las noches y una buena plática, son personas que vale mucho la pena conocer y pasar tiempo con ellos, también nos dejaron cocinar comida mexicana para ellos 🤩

Estar con S y H fue magnífico, siempre nos trataron muy bien, siempre atentos a cómo nos sentíamos mientras trabajábamos, comíamos, dormíamos, etc. Son súper agradecidos con nuestro trabajo lo cual yo aprecio mucho ya que me hace sentir que estoy haciendo las cosas bien y si me veían algo casando siempre me decían que tomará un descanso. Todos los días nos la pasamos bien, el trabajo fue justo, vimos muchas cosas, hicimos muchas actividades, la comida estaba deliciosa y siempre tomábamos vino al cenar. En verdad espero poder volver.

Recordaré siempre las maravillosas vistas y la hospitalidad de los anfitriones desde el primer momento que entramos. Recomendaría la experiencia, pese a que es una casa que necesita trabajo y cariño, desde mi punto de vista la disfrute y la guardaré siempre en mi recuerdo.
