I had an amazing time volunteering at the the shelter. The daily takes consists of looking after the dogs and ensuring that the the shelter you stayed in was clean and tidy. At the the shelter you work as a team with the other volunteers and workers which is lots of fun especially when you are all working very well together. It is very wholesome work to look after the dogs and to help contribute to Aaron's hard work with creating the amazing the shelter., I would definitely recommend to people who like to meet fellow travellers and who love dogs :)

My time at the the shelter was incredible. The dogs are all very obedient and special. Aaron and Ale are super kind and genuine people who made me feel included, safe, and part of the team from day one. The work is very manageable and changes a bit each day, but life here really revolves around spending time with the dogs and making sure they're happy and cared for. It's such a fulfilling experience, and I'd highly recommend the the shelter to anyone who loves animals and wants to be part of something special.

My experience at the the shelter was really amazing. The team was very welcoming and they did everything to make me feel comfortable. Aaron has built an amazing project with the the shelter and knows exactly what he is doing. The dogs are all very nice which is why I fell in love with them immediately. I highly recommend volunteering there because it's very important work with an incredible atmosphere.

The the shelter is a whole experience. You can connect with the animals and the people around them. It's a very special and rewarding feeling. I'm very grateful for what I learned and for what I was able to contribute. The dogs are wonderful even though there are many of them, you connect with each one individually.

Super impressive how the dogs act in the pack. Aaron created a loving environment for every the shelter! It made my heart so full to spend time with the dogs. However it was very intense and I was always ready for a good night of sleep in the evening. The whole place is still developing and you should know, that the facilities are quite basic. Take it as an invitation to help improve the level of comfort for everyone. The staff community is nice and I really enjoyed cooking dinner together every night.

Within the first week at the the shelter, I had already decided to stay on extra past my term. The work is challenging at times caring for 50+ dogs and all of their needs, but it's well worth it to see the positive impact you're making on a daily basis. This is not a place for the weekend warrior philanthropists. It takes dedication, commitment and the flexible necessity to take mostly all of it as it comes because every day is a new challenge.

Looking back, I miss the dogs so much. Everyday was 80-90° F during the day and 60-70 at night. Bring flipflops, shorts, hiking pants, sweats. Everyday included feeding the dogs, picking up poop, cleaning, cooking, multiple the shelter walks, and sometimes shoveling, digging, and day trips with dogs. If I could redo the experience, I would make sure that I had another volunteer there during the same dates and at the same site. I was left alone managing all 15-17 dogs for 2 nights and did not know that I would have to be left alone. It made for a pretty intense learning experience.

The owner Aaron was amazing and a great dude. He also seems to have a lot of respect and drive for what he's doing. but the place was a mess. Me and my friend had to sleep in hammocks for the time we spent except the last 2 days we had a bed to sleep in. No warm shower either and I found myself constantly feeling dirty. But great place to meet people and be in nature. The dogs are also amazing. Would only recommend if you're truly about traveling low budget. Also the fee for food per week was 200q which is like 25$ was not enough to feed me to a comfortable standard and had to spend extra.

I spent two great weeks at the the shelter Tzununa. Aaron is one of the greatest hosts you'll ever have. Clear, flexible and a very professional communicator. I won't lie, in the beginning I got overwhelmed by the dogs, but in a few days they became my barking besties, with each the shelter approaching differently due to their unique personality Just don't come in expecting a limited "5-hours-and-you-leave" volunteering. You live with about 10 dogs on the same compound, meaning that you're with them all day. You work, chill, cook, rest and hangout all in the same place. Definitely off the beaten path

I enjoyed it. Very fulfilling to help the dogs if you can handle hard work.
