The experience
Our initiative focuses on enriching the educational offerings at local primary schools and orphanage in Dodoma. With over 800 students, including those with special educational needs, our partnered schools aim to provide comprehensive educational support but often lack the resources to do so effectively. By volunteering to teach English, you will not only enhance the students' learning experiences but also help develop strategy of the schools.
What you offer
25 hours of help per week
Social Work:
Help with volunteer work in local projects and communities.
Teaching Languages:
Teaching a language to the host, guests, or local communities.

Description:
The amount will be on a discretionary basis. We recommend donating $20 USD per day to contribute back to the foundation, as we are providing private rooms and 3 meals every day.
What you get

Private Room:
You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.
Shared Dorm:
You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.
Breakfast:
You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.
Lunch:
You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.
Dinner:
You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.
Discounts on Tours:
Get discounts for tours and excursions around town.

Use our equipped kitchen:
Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.
Certificate:
Get a certificate of completion after you finish your experience.

Requirements
Intermediate English or Beginner Swahili
Over 18 years old
Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers

Flights, Travel Insurance, Internal Transportation and Visa
Program Details
Volunteers are expected to work 20-25 hours a week, Monday to Friday. We are very flexible, as long as you finish the tasks with the local schools, you are free to play with children or explore around the town!
Activities & Shift
Activities include:
1. Upkeep the community farm in orphanage, local schools and widows family
2. Decorate the schools and orphanage and build marketing materials
3. Collaborate with local widows on art and craft projects, creating items to be sold at community markets for fundraising purposes
Rules
1. No money or phones to the children, we aim to bless the children without creating dependency or beggary.
2. Please do not take any abusive photos
3. Please consume alcohol or smoke outside of the orphanage, we have a lot of children in the facilities!
