This is a mind-blowing human experience. I landed in the unknown and end up by leaving great friends, inspiring people and a part of the home I belonged for a couple of weeks. Be flexible, be motivated and always ask yourself: How can I help the students the best way with their French and/or English? Even if it may be on the way to a temple with a beginner in English/French, on a walk alongside the beach with the only student available at that time or at the the school - suddenly - in front of 18-20 students with different levels of fluency and motivation. I spent 10 days in the the school, you will spend all your time with the students there.. in the morning you practice Frensh or English by just talking to them and in the afternoon you will go with the students to explore the island. You will stay either in Denpasar or in Bangli (for me I stayed in both places so I got the chance to visit more things) I highly recommend this experience for anyone travelling to Bali. A huge thank you for Mr Stephane and his family for their great hospitality.

It was an incredible 10 days experience! I am so grateful to all the students that I spent my time with. It's a unique volunteering experience as you are almost all the time with the students and they become very fast your friends. :) I loved teaching them French and speaking English with them. They are very eager to learn. We made it fun so they could not forget! In the afternoon we went around to see waterfalls, swim & snorkel at the beach (first time for some of them, it was incredible to share these unique moments). We had a lot of fun and I really discovered the real side of Bali =D

My stay at TLC the the school bangli was above what I could ever expect .As a child I had visited Bali many times but no trip came close to the experience I had whilst in bangli . I have never felt more immersed in local culture and Mr Stephane and Mrs putu were very welcoming and made sure everything And beyond was prepared for me . The students were all lovely and made me feel as if I was one of them, with us being similar age activities after class felt as if I was hanging out with friends and made everything more special .during my stay I was taught many local recipes and even some bahasa

I had an absolutely amazing experience volunteering to teach French at TLC. I was quite unsure what to expect at first but ended up diving into local culture, surrounded by such lovely, friendly and kind students. We really developed a real bond and I truly believe that, even though I was there to teach, I learnt so much from them during the two weeks I spent with the students. This experience really surpassed all of my expectations and I walked away with a full heart and lots of stories to tell.

I had an intense experience! The students teach you a lot about their life and are able to communicate a lot with you, they're really willing to learn more about english and french languages. I stayed for two weeks and was able to learn a lot about the culture. I even got invited at some ceremonies and could really be immersed in the Balinese traditions.

I would highly recommend this experience in Bangli for any backpacker. In the two weeks I was there I learnt more about Balinese culture than the entire month of travelling Bali before this. When they say it is an 'immersive experience' they are speaking the truth. You spend your time with the students who show you the most beautiful areas of Bangli & surroundings , void of tourists. You eat the local food , which is always an interesting experience, be that good or bad! And you get to live & experience life in the community. All in all, an eye opening experience. I had a very good experience with Ms. Putu's students! I only stayed a few days with them, so I guess the experience is even stronger if you stay longer. Everyone is really caring and tries their best to show you the good spots around Bangli and singaraja! The students are very dedicated and Mrs Putu makes sure that the students are always with you! In terms of comfort, it's a simple accommodation but it's ok!

I simply lived a great experience in Bangli since day 1 with the students. The type of travel is very different from anything I've ever experienced, I had a blast with the immersion in another culture and with people so interested in sharing, kind and open. The routine is to go out with students and practice English with them, share the day, eat together, and explore the places. The exchange is so wonderful with local people that no money in the world can pay that. I'm very grateful for everything that we lived together and for finding such a special place in the world!
