Such a wonderful experience at the project- it was truly hard to leave! The kids couldn't have been more loving and welcoming and I was lucky enough to share the house with an awesome group of volunteers whom I can now call friends. Rosemary is an incredibly warm person who will make you feel at home here right away. Gracias por todo y espero regresar algún día!

My stay at the project was incredible, and I would really recommend this place to every traveler who truly wants to make a change and help where it's needed. The love that Rosmery puts into this project is so pure, and the kids at the school are very loving and welcoming. the project helps so many families in need, and being able to contribute to that by teaching the kids at the school filled my heart, making it the hardest goodbye ever — but I'm already planning on coming back! The whole environment feels like family from day one, which is just amazing.

What an incredible experience. The school, students and community of the project are pure magic, and watching Rosmery's passion was so inspiring. Every day is an adventure, from teaching classes to lesson planning, to helping with community food drop offs and having fun with the students - you will become best buddies in no time! You stay in a cosy home with the other volunteers, with delicious meals cooked every day by a wonderful chef called Silvana, an environment that feels like family. I miss everyone already but I'll be back one day! 🫶

From the first day, I felt comfortable with the project and the international volunteers. The weekly work schedule provided clarity for the upcoming week. The program organizer effectively managed scheduling to ensure successful completion of tasks. The work environment was friendly, with volunteers supporting each other. After four weeks, my Spanish speaking skills have improved. The accommodation exceeded my expectations, and the hot meals at lunch and dinner were excellent. The full kitchen was available for volunteers to use. I'm planing to come back to the project in the future.

It has been a wonderful experience volunteering at the project. You get to see real life in Peru. Plus I've had the chance to teach math, something I never imagined I will do. It was very rewarding to see kids make progress. Rosemary is a very nice, kind and giving person, it was great meeting her. Maybe the only downside is that my Spanish is not good enough and I could not contribute as much as I wanted. The kids speak just Spanish, so if you want to be 100% useful speaking Spanish helps.

I loved my stay at the project! Everyone is really kind and appreciative of the volunteers. I had a great experience teaching the children English and engaging with them during class. Next to the teaching there are also other wonderful projects to help the mothers of the children. The workload is a bit more than the 20 hours a week that are mentioned, but I did not mind personally. There was plenty of time to explore the city too. Thank you to the organisation and especially Rosmery for the amazing work you do!!

Awesome experience, and definitely improved my Spanish! Made a lot of connections with the kids and got to teach topics that interest me. Check how many other volunteers will be there -- fewer than ~6 then you have to go in every day and may go over your 20 hours per week. It fluctuated while I was there. Also, sometimes we were asked to join spontaneous meetings or food drives -- if they go over your weekly hours, just tell Rosemery (the host) she's super sweet and accommodating! I wouldn't worry about my Spanish level too much, as long as you have some basics and are willing to learn!

My time at the project was valuable&meaningful to me! The work at school&the food distribution experience gave me the chance to get in touch with realities &vulnerability of the local community. This is what I was looking for: reality. The kids were warm-hearted, welcoming&open to the volunteers. I found there could have been more structure&orientation for the teaching job of the volunteers. However, I was specially moved&grateful for Rosmerys openness&receptiveness for my thoughts&ideas!!! I feel like I could have an impact&I'm grateful for having been allowed to contribute! Thanks to all!!! :)
