Program Details
We are looking for a couple to stay in our largest beachfront, ocean-view room, reserved exclusively for volunteers. The room is spacious and airy — originally designed as a shared dorm — and now adapted for work exchange. It includes two twin beds, a private bathroom with hot water, a small kitchenette with basic utensils and a fridge, a ceiling fan, and Wi-Fi. A small section of the room is also used by the hotel to store lightweight items such as décor, cushions, and fabrics.
Activities & Shift
Yoga teacher: Teach a 1-hour yoga class daily (9:30–10:30 AM), leave the shala and mats clean and organized, plus 1 hour of light supervision following a checklist.
Partner: 2 hours daily of property supervision or occasional help at breakfast (only when fully booked, which is rare this season). Supervision includes using a provided checklist, observing that staff are on task, and assisting English-speaking guests if needed.
Both must love dogs and be happy to walk Kaya daily.
A short daily update via WhatsApp (voice or text) is required.
Rules
The room includes a small kitchenette with basic cooking utensils and a fridge. Please note that all dishwashing must be done in the restaurant sink, as the bathroom sink is not suitable for food waste or grease.
We do not provide meals or ingredients, and this is a non-paid work exchange position.
Important House Guidelines:
The hotel is for guests only — external visitors and overnight guests are not allowed.
If you need to use any kitchen appliances (e.g., blender), please ask a staff member to assist you. Do not operate them yourself.
Dispose of organic waste in the outdoor compost buckets and always keep the lid closed.
You may use the washing machine once a week — please coordinate with the cleaning staff. Avoid running small or overloaded loads. After washing, promptly hang and fold your clothes to make space for drying hotel linens.
Please do not use items from the bar area (e.g., cups, forks, or utensils). Use only those provided in your room.
