This experience was incredible. The host family is amazing. They are very helpful and supportive; excellent teachers and so passionate about their work and life in the farming community. They treat the volunteers like family. The farm is in a beautiful location. My Spanish is relatively basic and it worked but I definitely would not recommend to someone who does not have any Spanish.

This was a great experience! Even more than I expected. I saw and learned a lot of things in only 1 week about coffee, chocolate, arepas, plants and herbs, ... I took part in different steps of the different processes for each one. All of this in a very kind environment thanks to the nice people living and working there. They really care about the volunteers, and I'm proud and happy to have been able to help them to what they dedicate their lives to. A special thanks to señora Livia for being so kind with me, for sharing all her knowledge, for the good meals, and for her happiness.

Myself and my partner had such a lovely time here! We only spent 6 days here on the farm - Liba was such a welcoming and wonderful host along with Maria too❤️ we were fed well and the farm work was pretty easy planting coffee trees, harvesting cacao and making arepas 🫓 for the local market. It was really fun meeting and working with other volunteers too Louisa from Germany and Sofia from Argentina 🫶🏽 🫶🏽

We had a beautiful, immersive farm stay at Kakaitaima Finca! The two of us were there for one week alongside two other volunteers. On the first couple of days we were out on the farm planting coffee trees and harvesting cacao, and then the following days we were helping prepare LOTS of arepas for the Saturday market. We had a comfortable stay and were fed plenty of food (even as vegetarians). Gumboots and mosquito nets are provided which is great. We would recommend this experience to anyone who would like to experience Colombian farm life, practise Spanish and spend time in nature.

This was my first worldpackers experience and I'm happy it was! From the moment I arrived on the farm I felt very welcomed and libia made it easy for me to feel comfortable and at home. She is an absolutely inspiring person and watching her run this farm and business really impressed me. Furthermore, the work we were able to do taught me a lot about coffee, cacao, and the processes behind planting and processing it. Every day was different so we were able to look into many different types of work. Also, everyone is super nice and it feels like a family that we were allowed to be part of!

A great experience to learn about harvesting crops and making produce (arepas etc) for the market. And to meet the really lovely family there. However, I'm disappointed that in my last days the volunteers were locked out of the main house with no access to drinking water, electricity or the kitchen, as the family had left us alone with very little notice following a storm that had cut the electricity. It can also be very isolated with only two transports a day, during the week you're stuck on the farm. If the other volunteer wasn't there to show me around I would have struggled a lot.
