The hostel is nothing less than an oase of peace and harmony filled with heartwarming people. While our volunteering we really felt like we joined a family. The work was as well planned and structured as the whole of the hostel and Travel is. When you volunteer here it's gonna be a experience you'll never forget in your live. We wish the whole Team of the hostel /Travel nothing but the best, they have a vision and we are convinced that they'll achieve big things in the future. And we'll definitely come back to the hostel to see that progress. ❤️❤️ Pura vida ❤️

The people of the hostel are incredibly kind and welcoming individuals. I felt very included in all the staff meals, and they put in a great effort to keep up the vibes to make it an enjoyable time. The work was expected from what is agreed upon for the exchange. The bunk beds are good, they provided a pillow and a fan for night time, which really helps with the warm humid nights. Drake bay itself is such a unique and beautiful spot to come visit and is definitely worth the visit. I cut my time here short because I had a shift in travel plans, and they were very understanding of my decision

The people in the community of Drake Bay are absolutely wonderful. I felt welcomed the minute I arrived. The volunteers were fun and very kind hearted as well. The only Issue about the hostel was I was not given a pillow for 2 weeks of me staying there, which means I was never given a pillow at all. The bed itself was far from comfortable as well. On the website, it claims one free meal a day. Which was not always followed through by. All in all, the people you will meet are great people. But the hostel does fall short in some categories.

Ha sido una experiencia increíble. Al principio fue difícil adaptarme… un lugar aislado, “difícil de alcanzar”, rodeado de una naturaleza salvaje y virgen, con solo un pequeño pueblito… pero ya después empezé a saborear la esencia de este lugar. El jardín del hostal es un documental en vivo, los tours son increíbles gracias a Edu y Emi, guías maravillosas. Gracias también por las mil aventuras entre cascadas y bosques, gracias David. Gracias por las fiestas, por la ayuda, por la comida compartida y por tanto cariño. El trabajo es sencillo, pero cuenta mucho la iniciativa.

Bahía Drake es el lugar de Costa Rica que mas me pareció autentico, la gente es muy amable y generosa y flora y fauna son increibles. En el hostel del hostel, Estefanie y Gioconda te hacen sentir como en casa, se comparten charlas, se comparte comida y se trabaja juntos. Las tareas son de recepción y de limpieza. Los dueños del hostel también tienen un tour operador y tuve la suerte de hacer tres tours con ellos y les agradezco muchisimo porque fue geniál! Lo único que se podría mejorar es la organisación del trabajo y de los horarios de las voluntarias.

La experiencia en el hostel fue grandiosa, el Hostel es hermoso, tuve un cuarto privado, la comida fue super accesible ya que por USD 40 tuve la comida de todo el mes, y el cocinero hace comida muuuy rica. El equipo genial, me llevo muchos amigos! El pueblo es muy bonito, en la selva, la playa preciosa y muy cerca, además si uno hace bien el trabajo puede tener tours gratis, yo hice el Night tour dos veces y aprendí rapel. Muchas gracias a Estefanie y a todos 💙 Los voy a extrañar!

Experiencia super intensa y bonita en mitad de la jungla de drake bay, si buscas naturaleza y animales, este sitio es perfecto… Mucha flexibilidad y buen rollo!

El hostel está a pocos minutos del centro y la playa, inmerso en un hermoso lugar natural, donde puedes conectar con los animales y su energía bonita. En cuanto a las tareas a realizar Sol es un sol, una chica amable y flexible, que deja en claro desde el principio las metas a cumplir al final de tu estadía. Todo el equipo de trabajo fueron muy amables y divertidos, me dejaron practicar algunas técnicas holísticas y disfrutar con ellos y del lugar. Pude aportar con mis conocimientos como periodista y disfrutar de un tour genial con David. Agradecida y muy linda experiencia <3
