We had the best time while staying with Joan, she is such a nice and lovely person. Her place really feels like the home, the house with the pool is just perfect. The work we did was easy, clear and fair. We were able to relax completely, and all in all had an wonderful experience. I would definetly come back!!

The name “the home peace the home” is 100% true. The last 2 weeks living with Joan felt like a dream that went by so quickly. She is incredible, lovely and treated us like good friends from the first second and I miss her and her positive energy already! The work is simple and fair, Joan is flexible and easy to work with, you can always talk to her. The tasks consist of tasks around the house, depending on what is currently on and what the weather is like. You get a meal a day, which was always healthy, fresh and delicious. 100% Recommended if you look for a place to have a calm time.

We had a really good time at Joans. I can just recommend it. Joan is really welcoming and kind. She makes really nice food for you every day ( you can decide if it is breakfast, lunch or diner). She takes a lot of effort into her volunteers and makes sure that everyone feels good. The volunteering was more then fair. We helped for example to clean her land from the palm leaves or stuff like that. She also drives you almost everywhere you want. The apartment she owns is a dream. You can see kangaroos and other animals everyday. Also the beach and the pool is a dream. Thanks for all❤️

Joan is a person with a big heart who will make your volunteering an unforgettable experience. From the very first moment, you can feel her attention and care to make sure you feel comfortable. The property is located on a plot with a picturesque landscape that you simply can't get enough of. The uniqueness of this place also attracts the instincts of the local wildlife, which seem to mistake it for a nature reserve. The meals served are delicious not a monotonous home-cooked lunch, but rather a creative restaurant. The work is clear and approached with understanding. Priceless time there 😊

Loved, loved, loved this experience and opportunity! Joanie was so kind, so informative, and so understanding! I unfortunately didn't feel to great a few days after arriving and she let me take the time to really heal! The property also gives its own sense of healing all on its own! Two things that stood out to me the most was her preplanning what she needed help with and then checking with me if it was something I could do, and then her wiliness to transport for any exploration that I wanted! Couldn't recommend enough! Thank you so much 🫶🙏

For the record, you contributed to me achieving a fitness goal, you kept those vege gardens alive, and we sorted the pineapple patch and the nature strip alongside the property. Your contribution in the kitchen was awesome 👏

Joan was a great host. She taught me some new recipes and was very respectful of my diet. She showed me the local area and provided good opportunities to see the surrounding sites and town. The work expected was very reasonable and could be completed in a timely manner.

I had a really great time staying with Joan! The place is absolutely beautiful, surrounded by nature and with a peaceful atmosphere that made me feel at home right away. Joan is an amazing host, very kind, welcoming, and also an excellent cook! Every meal was delicious . I truly enjoyed my stay and would definitely recommend it!

I had the most lovely and wholesome experience staying with Joan. It was a true Aussie experience as you're well immersed and surrounded by wildlife and kangaroos! The property is gorgeous and Joan really goes above and beyond to make your stay welcoming and enjoyable. The work is more than manageable and Joan is always clear with what needs to be done and makes sure you have lots of rest and relaxation. I really enjoyed the beach, trips to the home Crystal Creek and the wildlife at Billabong which Joan was happy to drive me to.

My stay with Joan was the best possible start to my Aussie adventure! First off, her home is a beautiful beachside house surrounded by wildlife and nature, there is no shortage of critters that come by. The work is very manageable, she is extremely fair with the tasks she assigns. Joan is an excellent host, she made me feel very welcomed and appreciated. Her home cooked dinners are to die for, and she is more than happy to take you exploring and to touristy destinations!
