Help upkeep this beautiful home & pool in the Pyreneean foothills, France! :)
The experience
I’m Noel, now in my eighties. I’m seeking help with daily chores, shopping, cooking, gardening, driving, general house and pool maintenance and some DIY/decorating tasks. An ideal combination of handy allrounder and cosy family carer provided by a couple, would be perfect but not essential. Any trained tree surgeons would be especially welcome as there are several trees which need attention. A driving license is essential.

Program Details
In exchange for 3.5 hours per day for 5 days per week, (per person), you will have your own double bedroom with ensuite bathroom on the lowest of 3 floors of the house, so your privacy is assured. All bills are included along with your food, although your meals will only be cooked for you whilst my daughter is here. A minimum stay of four weeks is requested and a longer term arrangement for the right person/couple would be highly desirable. You will need to have a driving license and ideally your own vehicle as my location is fairly rural.
I am unable to accommodate smokers or petowners and you will need to be comfortable around my friendly cat.
My daughter, Shannon, who lives in the UK will handle all applications and will be here in France during your first few days to help you settle in. My family members visit on a regular basis and often stay for several weeks.
Activities & Shift
Work Schedule
1. Daily Work Hours:
• Each volunteer is expected to contribute 3.5 hours of work per day.
• The designated work time is between 9:00 AM and 12:30 PM, Monday to Friday.
2. Flexibility and Time Off:
• If volunteers wish to have full days off, they can choose to 'double up' on work hours on other days. This means working extra hours on certain days to accumulate enough time for a full day off.
• This arrangement should be discussed and agreed upon in advance with the us to ensure it aligns with the needs of the household and any specific projects.
• We respect your privacy and we ask that you join the family during the day and evenings completely as you choose, although you are always welcome.
3. Responsibilities and Tasks:
• The work will include a variety of tasks such as shopping, cooking, cleaning, gardening, and other household maintenance/decorating duties.
Rules
We want you to enjoy your time here and we have a flexible approach to life. We are happy to provide you with safety information and equipment for various tasks and ask you to familiarise yourself with relevant operating procedures (which will be supplied). We welcome you to our family and an attitude of mutual respect and friendship and involvement will be the cornerstone of our relationship. Oh just one rule; no diving in the pool!
