Social workers need for community development

I spent a month in Giturai, near Nairobi, in a humble yet loving center where warmth and solidarity matter more than material comforts. Lizzi made my stay fantastic, and I'm deeply grateful. The children are amazing—independent, kind, and full of life. Mama is an incredible woman who cares for them with endless love. I was also surprised by the food, which was fantastic! I did my best to help in every way I could. This experience gave me so much, and I will always carry it in my heart. Thank you to everyone who welcomed me like family.

Volunteering was truly unforgettable. From the start, lizzy welcomed me warmly and made me feel special. And one thing I love about lizzy is that , she replies to your messages promptly . All the children captured my heart, each one is full of joy and potential. They are so helpful, friendly and lovely and they have a strong belief in God . I love seeing them pray and the song they sing every night before going to bed . The work lizzy and the organization is doing is life changing and it was a privilege to be part of it.

Lizzy is super prompt in her replies. I needed a last-minute volunteer spot and managed to get to her place. The kids are incredibly lovely, friendly, helpful, and sensible. They have a strong hunger for God and things of God. I loved seeing them pray and sing songs every night. We enjoyed volunteering and learning about Kenyan culture and how the children's home functions. It's structured and easy to follow. Note: Conditions are basic, so be prepared for a rustic environment with an open heart and mind.

I volunteered for a month at the project Centre and I can say that it is not an experience for everyone. The most beautiful thing are the children full of energy, affectionate, and grateful. This experience allowed me to immerse myself in the local culture and learn a lot. However, the center's hygienic conditions could improve, and communication was not always clear, leading to some misunderstandings and stress. I felt more appreciated for the material gifts than for my desire to help. Despite this, the center has great potential but volunteers should be prepared for challenges!

Thank you Emma for your time and availability. The misunderstanding was brought by you. You didn't come to volunteer but you came for your personal fun and gains, You never followed any rules in the centre you did as you please and we also believed you had a descrimnation thing which you were also limiting other volunteers from supporting the centre .

It's not about money but the passion ..we pray next time you will consider that all the best thank you for chosing us.
