Builders, Painters, Carpenters, Construction Workers

The experience

We are currently fixing our house. We have a professional Japanese Carpenter but would be great to have some extra hands around the site. Most of the demolition has been done ( a whole floor has to be replaced because of termite damage).
We also have cottages that need touch up painting, and a bigger building that needs exterior paint job. And gardening/landscaping is always required.

What you offer

25 hours of help per week

Painting & Decorating: Help with painting or decorating the property facilities.

Building & Repairing: Help with a wide range of repairs or building.

What you get

2 days off per week

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Team Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other people.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Bikes at your disposal: You can use our bikes any time you want.

Pick Up: We will pick you up when you arrive, and take you to our property.

Surfboards: You can use our surfboards as much as you want.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Fast Internet Access: High-speed internet for you to work remotely

Requirements

Intermediate English or Intermediate Japanese

Over 20 years old

Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers

Program Details

We ask for 20 - 25 hours a week of help with our construction and gardening projects. In exchange we provide accommodation (wifi, kitchen, shared bedroom etc), bicycles and beach toys to use, a welcome package, and an allowance to help cover food costs.

Activities & Shift

Currently we are fixing up one house. We have a professional carpenter you would be working together with. We also have smaller maintenance and building projects you could work on more independently. The day usually starts at 9 or 10 am.

Rules

We ask that you respect the accommodation, be respectful of your room-mates an neighbors. Keep the house clean, dishes washed etc...
