This was one of the most incredible experience for me as a guest. I felt like I was home. DC is phenomenal and a beautiful person. Natalia is so kind and compassionate. They kept feeding me non-stop and DC showed me around town and drove me to amazing places. The work was so much fun, my first time for most of those things but loved every minute of it. DC's Yoga classes were brilliant. My time here couldn't have been any better, I highly recommend. THANK YOU SO MUCH DC FOR BEING YOU!

The time with David, though short, was very meaningful to me. David is a great person, with a very kind soul. Although he was not going through his best times, his energy was always cheerful, kind and willing. The work done, some things were inside the house and others in his yard, he provide you with the proper clothing to do the work. The hours are flexible and Peebles is very nice to walk around. And his yoga classes, uff! The best I've ever had! Thank you DC for everything 🫶

I'm sharing this to help future volunteers.I had to leave early. Hygiene was very poor: broken toilet cistern with no intention to fix it, no soap in the bathrooms to wash our hands, dirty bedding. We were asked to work outside agreed hours, even on days off. Tools were broken, rusty, and there were no basic safety measures. Poor organization, food and water that volunteers bought would go missing from the fridge. While cleaning the freezer, we found expired food, we threw it away, and it was taken back from the trash for the host. Unfortunately, it was not a positive experience.

This volunteer was amazing and David (DC) was so kind and respectful. The shifts were flexible and all tasks were easy and simple. Some days I did gardening and others I went shopping or fixed any device in his garage. The city is small but has many beautiful stores, parks and coffee. He and Natalia are friendly and share good moments when they cook delicious meals, Indian and Scottish, during lunch. He teaches yoga and you can learn it and share cozy time with friends. I practiced English a lot and we talked about many different things every day. I loved take part in their home.

I feel very fortunate to have had the opportunity to do my first volunteering in such a magical place as Peebles. David is an excellent host and teacher who goes above and beyond to give his best to all his students and guests. Together with Natasha, they are developing a beautiful project centered around the home they have built and generously share with us, their guests, making us feel like part of their family. David's yoga classes are the best I have had in over 10 years of practice, and Natasha, as an English teacher, helped me tremendously to improve my pronunciation and the language

It was my first volunteering experience, and I couldn't be happier with everything I learned. David is such a friendly person, and together with Natasha, they made me feel like part of their family. Spending a few days in Peebles was extraordinary! If you're looking to practice your English, this is the perfect place. The tasks are simple, and you get to learn how to use new tools while also gaining deeper insights into yoga. Thank you so much, David! You'll always have a special place in my heart

"A home away from home" would describe it with these words. I can't thank David and Natalia enough for everything they offered me in this volunteering. We went to eat from the first day with DC, yoga classes, English classes with Natalia, we went hiking in the mountains, we had a traditional Scottish party and learned to dance, we got to know Edinburgh and traveled by car to beautiful places, we watched movies, listened to music... And so much more. From the first to the last day it was wonderful. I am very happy to have arrived there and I leave a part of my heart with you and Tyne. ❤️
