My stay in Mérida was absolutely amazing. It was my very first volunteer experience and also my first solo travel trip, and it truly set the bar high. The location was great, and I felt safe at all times, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Everything was communicated clearly, and I always felt comfortable and welcomed by everyone. A huge thank you to Ale, Kike, Adrián, and all of the staff. You were all wonderful and made my time here unforgettable. I hope to be back soon.

I stayed for 2 months and it was life changing! The people, the energy of the place is really special. I had so much fun meeting amazing people from all around the world and made lifelong friends and memories. I'm so grateful for this opportunity and I'll never forget my time here. Thank you 🙏🏼 I truly love the is place it's like home to me. I was in the front desk and it was so much fun. Later I was doing some cleaning during a late night shift but always covering the hours that I had to cover. The place is 10 min walk to the main square. I highly recommend this opportunity! Much love!

I enjoyed my time here, the team work is collaborative I felt listened and welcomed, the tasks are easy to do and the free time is great to make excursions outside of the city, or to explore the surroundings because the location is near the main plaza, the accommodations are comfortable, I recommend spending a few weeks because there's so much to visit and explore

I had a wonderful time at this hostel! the host was quick to respond to my messages and tasks were clearly defined when I arrived. I started out with general cleaning chores like laundry, sweeping, and mopping for my first 2 weeks and then transitioned into reception work. I was very happy with the flexibility regarding work hours. Since I am working remotely, I made an agreement to simply pay for one night, so that I would end up with 2 free nights per week (the regular schedule is work 6 days and get one day off).

My experience in the hostel Charrùa was fantastic! I worked in the reception and the hostel was so well organized that it was not hard for me to do my tasks. The host is super flexible with timetables and you can switch your shift with other volunteers if you need a day free in particular! I really recommend this hostel!

This hostel is in the center of Merida and very near public transportation to go to beaches, ruins, cenotes, etc.The best part about volunteering here is the community. People hangout together and cook for each other often—it feels like a family.The working hours are reasonable and Adrian is open to flexible days and hours. The time of year you come will impact your trip, Merida can get so hot that it's difficult to go out and do anything. The good news is there's a pool if you want to spend the day in the hostel. My 3 weeks there were nice.

Working in the hostel was nice. The communication and organization needs a lot of improvement. For example the first day I wasn't welcomed by the owner when I arrived because "he forgot" or that I have to work at the reception even if i applied as a handyman. Sadly the owner don't really listen to you when you propose something. For the rest the hostel is really cozy and has a good atmosphere. Hours are respected but don't forget to ask your day off in advance because of the poor communication but Adrian is very flexible with days and hours. But in the end it was a good experienc

I spent a week in the hostel with a friend of mine and we helped the hostel with all the activities involved in maintaining the structure. Adrian and Eve are very flexible and helpful and during the week they also organized a dinner in which we had the possibility to get to know the other volunteers. There is a nice environment! The hostel is not in the center of town but taxi are very cheap or at any rate you can walk to the center in 20 minutes. I would recommend the hostel to other volunteers!

Estoy muy agradecido por esta experiencia. Cuando llegué, no hablaba mucho español y era mi primera vez como voluntario, así que estaba un poco nervioso. Sin embargo, desde el momento en que llegué, me recibieron con mucha calidez. Karina y Lis son maravillosas y tuvieron muchísima paciencia conmigo. Les agradezco por hacerme sentir como en casa. Mis tareas fueron manejables y siempre se respetaron mis horarios de trabajo. Los otros voluntarios me trataron como si fuera parte de su familia y me ayudaron mucho con el español. Fue una experiencia que me cambió la vida y jamás la voy a oldvidar.
